FREENAS Pegs the CPU

ASUS C60M1-I AMD Fusion APU C-60 (1.0 GHz, dual core) AMD Hudson M1 Mini ITX Motherboard / CPU Combo
ASUS C60M1-I AMD Fusion APU C-60 (1.0 GHz, dual core) AMD Hudson M1 Mini ITX Motherboard / CPU Combo

Pros: Small Passively Cooled Very Efficient Plenty of SATA connections

Cons: The CPU is the bottleneck on the system running FREENAS. I may end up upgrading the CPU if possible.

Overall Review: Great board, but I'm currently pegging 40 mbs tops for a transfer connection.

Once again, Kingston delivers.

HyperX 3K 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) (Stand-Alone Drive) SH103S3/120G

Pros: SATA lll Newest controller. Comes with a nice blue aluminum 2.5/3.5 converter. Looks sharp.

Cons: Only time will tell.

Overall Review: Second drive from Kingston. Hopped on the SSD bandwagon early with a Kingston 64 gig SATA ll drive. Lasted me a solid three years, with 10+ reinstalls of windows, and 0 problems. That drive is now running my laptop OS, and my new drive sits in my home rig. I am anticipating the same positive experience with this drive.
