Pros: Fast, quiet, no errors.
Overall Review: I'm very pleased. It replaced another blu ray that died after just a few months. I've used this one heavily to rip a couple hundred BR's and not a single problem.
Identical to the less expensive model. Get the cheaper one.
Pros: Quiet, cool, very little vibration
Overall Review: Not quite as fast as the Hitachi 4TB 7200, but acceptable.
Wish it was 6 TB
Pros: Fast, immediately recognized by Win 7, solid bios
Cons: It made for a slimline server case, meaning the slot mount is reversed.
Needed a little modification to fit in a desktop case.
-1 star for desktop mounting issues
Overall Review: Aside from the mounting issue, it is a solid card with a LSI bios.
Requires 2x SFF-8087 SAS-SATA "forward" cable. These are inexpensive and widely available online, including at Newegg
If you have a server OR you are comfortable with a very easy mod of the mount for a desktop, this is a great card.
Pros: When slowed down, it's very quiet.
Overall Review: It works.
Pros: Compact, includes both 3.5 and 2.5 drive racks.
Easy access to the filter. High quality design.
Cons: No individual anti-vibration drive mounts. The whole 3.5/2.5 rack rest on rubber shock mounts, but that is ineffective as damping vibration.
Overall Review: The filter access is much better than on the similar Lian-Li unit. And having the option of 3x 3.5 or 4x 2.5 is big plus.
Of course, replace the fan with a quieter 80mm.
Overall, very nice unit.
Pros: Excellent quality. Very quiet. Very cool. Compact.
Overall Review: Runs 10 drives, 2 burners hot video card while barely running the fan.
I could do without the velvet and vinyl bags with power supply and cables came in. A simple box is sufficient.
Pros: Quieter than the 1.5 TB Seagate it replaced. Fast. Cool.
Overall Review: Wish it was 4 TB.
Pros: Solid, we built, no sharp edges. roomy
Cons: The internal cable routing holes do not have plastic guards or grommets. It does not ship with a solid cover for the side fan vent (it would help reduce noise.)
Overall Review: A good case. I wish it had more hard internal hard drive mounts.
Cons: Brittle plastic. One arrived smashed to bits and the I don't thing the other two will last long. The plastic is fragile and cracks easily.
Overall Review: Don't do it.
Pros: Inexpensive, rock solid
Overall Review: Fixed a bad RAM problem I had. I plan to get more.
Pros: Attractive mesh
Cons: Thin, flimsy, easy to break.
Overall Review: I would not buy them again.
Pros: Well made. Good fit
Overall Review: They work great on standard cases
Pros: it works. Quiet
Cons: A little slow on initial DVD & CD access. Minus 1 star.
Pros: Works perfectly.
Overall Review: I've had this for over 5 years. Works as perfectly today as it did when I bought it. I use it every single day, 1900x1200.
Works well with Logitech wireless keyboards.
Pros: See thru, Inexpensive, closes securely, keeps the dust out
Cons: Padded on only one end. Minus 1 star.
Overall Review: Holds 2 drives solidly.
Pros: Inexpensive. Loads of HD mount bays. Roomy. Lightweight. Free.
Cons: Very thin steel. Sharp edges. No front or top fans mounts. Side fan limited to 80 mm and rear fan limited to 92 mm.
Overall Review: This case came free with a Seasonic PSU. It is clearly made with older systems in mind that did not need much airflow.
Luckily, I needed to build a low power system that is all SSD's and 2.5 inch hard drives, with MB video. Runs perfectly cool (near ambient temps).
This is a great case to practice modding on. The metal is thin and easy to work with, and its so cheap (free) that if you mess it up, you won't care.
I wouldn't pay more than $10 for it with free shipping. And that would be a stretch.
Pros: Quiet, fully modular
Overall Review: All the cables are modular, so you can select the exact combo you need.
Pros: Small, good airflow, solid construction, holds a full size ATX MB and a full size PSU with ease.
Cons: Limited cable routing options.
Overall Review: I bought this to replace an 8 year old Lian-Li case that only had 80 mm fans - the layout was great for an older configuration, but could not dissipate heat efficiently.
With the same components, the MB and CPU temps are 10 deg cooler.
This build has a full size ATX, Season X 650 PSU, huge dual fan Thermalright heat sink, 2 DVD burners, 2 SSD drives and 3 HD's (1.5-2 TB each.) It all fits with plenty of room. Everything is cooler now.
Fairly quiet now. Will be much quieter after acoustic foam treatment.
Pros: Works well. Lightweight. Well made
Cons: padded on only one end (top). I wish it had padding on both ends. -1 star.
Pros: Works. Keeps the dust out.
Overall Review: Not as much padding as the "book" models, but still keeps drives safe
Pros: Inexpensive, seems accurate.
Cons: Laser point seems off axis. Minus 1 star for this
Overall Review: help me isolate hot spots in my case at home. We use similar, but more rugged Fluke devices at work to find hot spots at server rooms..
Pros: Great for stacking two SSS's in a single 3.5 slot.
Cons: Longer than it need to be, so you need a full length 3.5 bay.
Minus 1 star for this.
Overall Review: Work great. Efficient use of space.
Pros: Shorter than many other adapters.
The drive mount is intentionally off center. This is good for alternating them in a stack - power and SATA are can be offset , L-R
Cons: The drive mount is intentionally off center. only very short screws will work on one side.
Minus 1 star.
Overall Review: I bought it to replace an Samsung adapter that was unnecessarily long and protruded i over the MB. This adatper works great.
Pros: Works after 5 years as flawlessly as day one.
Overall Review: Quality product. It just works. It has been in at least 5 different machines from XP to Win 7, several versions of Redhat and Ubuntu and in a couple of Hackintoshes.
It works everywhere I tried it, with every drive. Can.t use it foe the boot partition in a Mac, but not many older cards do
Pros: Works, year after year.
Overall Review: Built to last. Incredibly stable with dd-wrt firmware.
