Great bang for the buck!
Pros: DX 10, 320 steam processors, and 512MB DDR3 make this card a true performer. Huge difference over my old x1650xt. I now get 100 FPS consistantly playing Battlefield 2142 instead of fluctuatong around 30-40 FPS with my old card. Company of Heroes went from 15-30 FPS, which is just being able to play it on the lowest settings. Now I am getting 60 FPS with all settings maxed. There's details and objects showing up that I never knew were even in the games LOL!!!!
Cons: No extras?! Box showed up with just the video card, manual, and installer cd... nothing else. No crossfire bridge, no dvi to hdmi adapters, no s-video to HDTV cables... NOTHING but the card, cd, and manual.
Overall Review: I would have given it 5 eggs if it wasn't for all the missing parts. Just glad they're not necessary to complete this build. Apparently from reading other reviewers I'm not the first to get a practically empty box. That in turn leads me to believe that someone isn't doing their job properly at POWERCOLOR or someone is lightening the boxes before they leave for shipment at NEWEGG. Either way it's a problem, so if you need the extras... think twice about this one.
Pros: Quad Lan. Newegg ROX!
Cons: Can't install Operating System! I got BSOD while installing the operating system and it says PCI.SYS error. ASUS Tech says it's bad board. Returning for replacement.
Overall Review: A lot of money for a lot of garbage. At least newegg has plenty more to choose from.
NZXT Sentry 2
Pros: Easy setup and install, plus it looks cool and does exactly what it's supposed to do. Along with the touchscreen, it has great features such as individual temp monitoring, fan speed, and auto/manual control for each of the 5 fans you connect it to.
Cons: NONE! Don't t second guess yourself.
Overall Review: Works like a charm and looks cool to boot.
Pros: Significantly dropped temps compared to my after market cooler by about 5-10 degrees celsius and keeps them there. Closed loop... no filling, no maintenance, easy setup and the Link software is great, once everything is configured properly.
Cons: If you're looking for a "quiet" alternative cooling solution to your stock or aftermarket cooler... consider replacing the stock fans that come with the H80i, as they make a considerable amount of noise when running under load. Not horrendously loud, but very noticeable. Not really and issue for me, but it may be for some.
Overall Review: There seems to be an issue with the firmware that Corsair is familiar with. Giving this 5 stars wasn't easy... at least it would be considerably lower if newegg didn't have the return policies they do. After roughly a week from install, I booted up my machine, as I do every morning for the workday. I Immediately noticed something was wrong as the colors for the Corsair logo were stuck on a putrid green and would not change, nor did it pick up any of the motherboard temps. Sent it back and waiting for a replacement as I type.
Intel Centrino 2200BNHMW IEEE 802.11n Mini PCI Express - Wi-Fi Adapter
Pros: Affordable replacement for most laptops. Great speeds and excellent connectivity.
Cons: Wasn't free!
Overall Review: Bought this for a friend of mine to replace his non functional Atheros card in an Asus laptop that he purchased at Staples. Despite the fact that he paid for the extended coverage, they wouldn't warranty it for him because it worked perfectly fine otherwise. Suck it Staples!!!
Vantec 2.5"/3.5"/5.25" SATA/IDE to USB 2.0 Adapter
Pros: Excellent quality and has an inline on/off power switch. Making it very safe and easy to use. Works great on everything I've tried it on so far... including an older CD drive, just to see if it could. Bought this as a replacement for an inferior counterpart from another manufacturer that was purchased here merely because of free shipping.
Cons: Wasn't free.
