good drive for the cost
Pros: Install is simple if you've replaced drives before. Works as it should and I'd have no problems buying another one if needed.
Cons: Not really a con but you will need a SATA cable if you are using this to add a new drive.
Great notebook for me so far
Pros: Good value on price vs specs, ability to upgrade, 3 USB portsd plus one is USB3.0, nice smaller AC adapter, somewhat lighter and thinner than others I looked at.
Cons: Internal battery is not my favorite, gloss screen, floppy screen assembly. Arrived with one dead screen pixel that I am trying my best to ignore. One instance the trackpad started acting funky but after an overnight charge it was fine and has not re-occurred.
Overall Review: I have been casually shopping for a notebook for awhile and bought one the day before finding this at NewEgg. I ordered this up right away. The 4830T has Win7 Home Prem x64 and I bet it will accept 16GB of ram. So far I have chucked the spinner HDD for an SSD with a clean install. Very quick boot for my needs. The optical drive is coming out next for a drive caddy housing another SSD for data storage. So far it is working great. I'll probably try out the 16GB of ram and possibly swap in a matte screen. It is wishing for a quad core i7 processor swap.
Acceptable replacement
Pros: Arrived in a Philips package. Fits inside KDS-50A2000 unit and worked fine.
Cons: None that I could tell.
Overall Review: I bought this through NewEgg since it is really hard to be certain you are getting a real Philips lamp from other retailers. Right out of the box it feels slightly lighter weight than the original Philips lamp assembly and the printing on the lamp is different than the original. Not sure if that proves/disproves it is a real Phillips lamp or not. The original lamp got 5734 hours run time so I hope this replacement lamp can do just as many.
works fine
Pros: An easy and in expensive replacement for a failed AGP graphics card. Worked with the existing graphics card drivers, no need to load included drivers.
Cons: made in china
Overall Review: This card had given my 8yr old Dell Dimension 4600 desktop some additional life. The PSU went out and must have taken the original 5200 graphics card with it. OS would not load with failed card in place. I bought this inexpensive card hoping that the failure was in the card and not the AGP slot or motherboard. It fixed the issue and I am happy.
Great item, but not right for my use
Pros: Great concept, easy setup (for most), and simple software. I really liked the mirrored RAID and the drop-in drive features. If I had a need for this on my home network, I'd buy this right away. NewEgg's customer service is 110% excellent.
Cons: Not a fan of the case color. The drive setup was not able to be configured to run on a secure work network (requires login ID/password and authentication software). I had to return this drive because you can't easily use it as a direct (non-network) backup to a PC......I'd have to disconnect from the network to access the drive. Would have kept it if it had both network cable access as well as USB access. The USB port is only for adding extra storage capacity.
it's red, it works
Pros: It fits were is should and it works as expected. The drive end was right-angled which I needed for the computer case layout.
Cons: None that I could find.
