Good Service

Pros: This item was extremely well packed. The unit looked brand new without any blemishes and the inside was clean and dust free. I had a question and called the customer support number. I got a recording but the tech support guy was calling me back as I was leaving a message. The first bootup was successful without any issues.
Cons: I have mixed feelings at this point. If you are expecting a quiet unit this one is terribly loud and sounds like a model plane taking off. I find loud fan noises extremely irritating and will never use this unit in it's current inception. This has not been a common complaint in the reviews as near as I can tell so maybe the hearsink needs to be reset or others find the noise less irritating. Once the workstation is fully booted it is very fast but the mechanical hard drive really limits its performance.
Overall Review: In reference to the noise factor above I plan to remove the heat sink and check it. CPUID gave readings of 55-60 degrees centigrade at idle. I do have a Noctua that I will mount. These cpu's are known to run hot and we all know about Intel oem heatsinks. Accessing the bios is difficult with a usb keyboard. I found it much easier to use a ps2 keyboard as it seems to be recognized on post quicker. If you are looking for an inexpensive option for a performance rig at a reasonable investment price point this is a good choice. This is an addendum. I pulled the heatsink and the thermal paste was all dried out with incomplete coverage and one of the sink screws wasn't even engaged. I reset the heatsink with Arctic Silver and idle temps dropped into the 34-35 centigrade range. I have had the unit running under Prme 95 for two hours, 100 % on all cores, and max temps briefly reach 82 degrees centigrade, no throttling, and little fan noise. I am pleased.
Awesome drive!

Pros: Very fast!!!!!!! Trouble free installation on a new Asrock p67 Fatality. Placed in the pcie slot as the only drive and the bios recognized it right away and placed it as boot device #2 after the DVD. Win7 loaded from USB stick with the ocz driver on it and was up and running 10 min later. You can download sp1 from the MS website in bothman exe and iso file. I then raided a couple of seagates for storage.
Cons: Cost I guess but you should knowmthatnwhen you buy it.
Overall Review: Astounding performance! My rig boots into full windows in about 10 seconds. I got the 160 at a good price on one of Neweggs edeals but wished I would have spent the extra and got the 240gb.
Great Board!

Pros: This is a great board! Had it a few months before getting around to the build. Everything was easy to put together and paired it with a revox2. Win7 installed in about 10 minutes, changed the multiplier to 45 for my 2600k and boom, stable 4.5 ghz at default voltage!
Cons: Not really a con, but raid was a little difficult to set up. I set up a raid 0 for data storage on a couple of seagates and the post went by so fast I didn't see the post screen for the controller after enabling it in the BIOS. Once I managed to get into the controller BIOS, no problems.
Overall Review: Wish I had waited for a z68 board but I am very happy with this board.

Pros: This is a great card and best buy for your buck!
Cons: This card is hard to find.
Overall Review: Newegg is a GREAT comany and I purchase almost all of my items here but they sometimes miss the boat. This card is available at Best Buy online at a regular price of $xxx and sometimes has it on sale for $xxx. I got mine just before Christmas at this price.

Pros: Good bang for your buck. Downloaded Riva tuner and ulocked the other 4 pipelines.
Cons: Loud fan!!! Rivab tuner allows other teaks, one of which is fan control. If you set the 2d setting at 25% for regular desktop work you can't even hear it.
Overall Review: I got this card for an HP box unit so I wouldn't have to use the onboard graphics. Though not my gaming machine it was a great performance improvement. Rebate was easy to send off for. As always Newegg ROCKS!
