4K UHD support, but wrong firmware

ASUS Black Blu-Ray Burner SATA BW-16D1HT
ASUS Black Blu-Ray Burner SATA BW-16D1HT

Pros: Once you figure it out, reads 4k UHD disks like a champ.

Cons: Came with version 3.03 firmware, which no longer support UHD disks

Overall Review: One of the best "UHD friendly" drive (go read up on MakeMKV forum). However UHD compatibility is only offered up to firmware version 3.02. Took me a couple of hours to sort out all the details; not exactly trivial as you can't just download and flash a clean 3.01/3.02 firmware (that will brick your drive permanently). But once done, ripping a 4K HRD disk is pretty straight forward and looks great streaming from my NAS.

No manufacture warranty. Likely fraud/scam

Seagate Exos X16 ST14000NM005G 14TB 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 256MB Cache 3.5-Inch Enterprise Hard Drive
Seagate Exos X16 ST14000NM005G 14TB 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 256MB Cache 3.5-Inch Enterprise Hard Drive

Overall Review: Just checked mine on Seagate official site. Like the other user, no warranty as the drives were originally part of a large unit order. There are a lot of news of Seagate data center drives that were used in Chia coin mining had their SMART records modified and being resold as new. I can't check mine with the command at this moment, but will do so at the first opportunity. Not liking my chances.

Great price per Gb

Seagate Exos X18 ST14000NM000J 14TB 7200 RPM 256MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drives

Pros: Hitting the sweet spot of ~0.015 cents/Gb Full 5 years of warranty Helium filled Put 4 of them in my ZFS Raidz1, ~270 MB/s sustained read

Cons: Pretty loud all things considered. Fortunately get to hid my NAS in a closet

Overall Review: Nowadays a lot of Seagate Ironwolf pro / Exos drives are scam with old drive but altered SMART info. I was a victim of such initially buying from a "reputable" 3rd party seller. Luckily I managed to return those drives, and bought genuine ones sold directly from NewEgg. No complain this time!

Can't beat it for the price

Pantum P2502W 1200 x 1200 DPI Wireless / USB Monochrome Laser Printer
Pantum P2502W 1200 x 1200 DPI Wireless / USB Monochrome Laser Printer

Pros: For the price it cannot be beat. Set up is very simple and works very well as a light duty home printer. Connected to 1 desktop, 1 PC laptop, 1 macbook, 1 iphone and 2 android devices and no problem at all.

Cons: Not necessarily the highest build quality.

Overall Review: Got it for $29 free shipping

Decent unit, good experience

Pioneer FH-X720BT CD Receiver with Bluetooth
Pioneer FH-X720BT CD Receiver with Bluetooth

Pros: All advertised functions works well. Blue tooth hand free is easy to set up. The customizable lighting is great.

Cons: Installation related - see other thoughts.

Overall Review: This is the first time I try to install an aftermarket stereo unit to my car. For those of you that don't already know, you need to get several other pieces on top of this to complete the installation, including: - wiring harness - crimp caps OR soldering/heat shrink tubing (I prefer soldering) - dash kit for mounting Ordered it for my 2004 Toyota Highlander. Ordered the wiring harness which works great. Dash kit however, gave me quite some headache. Initially I got the Metra 99-8300 dash kit (also from NewEgg), which is supposed to fit multiple Toyota models including mine. But the double din vertical clearance is too small to fit the head unit. And I could not return it as the shipping itself costs about as much as the dash kit. Then I got the Metra 95-8202 kit. This one is much simpler to work with, but still the unit is a few millimeters too wide. I had to sand down the kit to squeeze it in there, and it's still not a perfect fit.

MSI Z87I LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI USB 3.0 Mini ITX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Relatively easy overclock, decent feature for the price.

Cons: Only 2 fan connectors, had to get an adapter to have all the case fans running.

Overall Review: Was running an i5 4678K at 4.2GHz, stock voltage no problem with 1.3 bios, but after updated to 1.4 it became unstable. Had to revert back to 1.3
