I love this Mobo

ASRock 990FX Extreme4 AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
ASRock 990FX Extreme4 AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: -Supports AMD3+ 8 core CPUs -the company took gamers needs into consideration with the Heatpipe design -Awesome sound -Supports SLI -Also came with a 2 way SLI Bridge which is Great because my Graphics cards didn't come with one. -Xfast USBtechnology speeds up more that just USB drives. It also speeds up Memorry/SD cards. -Dr. Debug is great especially for an external test build. Before you hook up the power button cords to your case, the On/Off button allows you to power up the needed parts to ensure the CPu, Graphics, PSU and RAM are all working so you don't have to fidle with pins to get the motherboard to power on -UEFI BIOS; it's nice to see a graphical bios screen, especially one where i can easily navigate as well as use my mouse and keyboard -supports 32 GB of RAM -Free Trial software that I've been using like crazy

Cons: Whenever I boot up my computer it shows the mobo splash screen, then a black screen with some on my computer's specs -both my SDD and HDD, the PCI-E slots and the 8 x SATA 6Gb/s storage connections before showing me the mobo splash screen again and loading windows. Lately after it shows the specs, the screen freezes and I have to reboot to get past it. The computer's only been in use and working for two weeks. I hope the Motherboard isn't going to give out.

Overall Review: As stated in the cons, i have to sit through two mobo splash screens as well as seeing my specs. anyone know how to stop that? It's annoying me every time i boot up the computer.

Free Game

NVIDIA Gift PC Game Assassin's Creed 3
NVIDIA Gift PC Game Assassin's Creed 3

Pros: -Free Game -Graphics seem decent

Cons: -a bit of a run around to redeem the code. No one tells you what to do to actually redeem the code and it was a pain to redeem the code. See Other for more details -when you hit download, you're not downloading the game. you download the install files. The install files take up 20 GBs of space, and installing the game takes aprox 20 GB -I say approx as when i hit install It sait it would need 20 GBs on my SDD but only needed 19 GB on my HDD. Go figure. in addition of the absurd size of the install files, Ubisoft sends thenm to you in Rar files! you then have to use winrar or another program to unzip all the rar files and put them into one folder then you install the game. After installing you're forced to use Uplay, Ubisoft's game client. If you think these installation games are over no they're not. when you try to play the game for the first time, you have to put in the product key. the product key for the game is included in the invoice you get after redeeming the game in ubisoft's check out. THEN you can play the game. -Idk what the prblem is but after i configured the controls the way i wanted to, I entered the cave in the very beginning of the game and after the cutscene where you open the first door with that weird gold ball thing, the controls messed up and won't work now. What gives?

Overall Review: -you redeem the code on the site the card tells you to redeem it on, Nvidia sends you another code. you then go to the store and put the game in the cart. when you go to checkout, it gives you a place to put in a promo code. Put in the code Nvidia gave you in the e-mail for redeeming the card.you'll then be gived a download FOR THE INSTALLATION FILES and an invoice for buying the game. The invoice you get from ubisoft will hold the game activation key. -you also get an a-mail saying "thanks for getting the game" and for some reason mine was in French even though i selected my language as english. Seriously, what with all this "Redeem this code, to get another code, to get another code to get your game"? That's annoying.

with the right parts, this cpu can Beat an intel rig

AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0 GHz (4.2 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W FD8350FRHKBOX Desktop Processor
AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0 GHz (4.2 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W FD8350FRHKBOX Desktop Processor

Pros: -Better than the bulldozer -8 cores -Turbo boost -came with a pre-unlocked core -it actually has good hyper threading support -It came in a nice metalic box that can be used for storage -It may be the thermal compound, but this thing runs cool and yes that's with the stock fan. -It was easier to install than I thought. It's hard to explain to people who have never build a rig before, put when you lower it down and the pins line up, you'll get a feeling that you've installed it right you'll feel it in the socket and in your gut. -Price was right!

Cons: I Had to use the stock fan instead of one i bought but of well. But considering that it's not that big of a con, please Read the other section and you'll find that this isn't even a pebble on the beech since my rig has surprised even me.

Overall Review: My last Computer had an AMD CPU, which influenced my decision to buy the 8350 FX. I always had great experiences with AMD products so it was only a natural choice. Also consider this: with the right combination of parts, you can build an AMD Rig and take on an Intel rig. Trust me I did it last week in Borderlands 2 and in WolfTeam. Me and a friend entered a friendly compitition to see who had the better Rig. He had the Intel i7-3970X and ATI graphics and my AMD rig beat his, proving him that although this was my first build, I had built the better gaming rig. We were NOT overclocking either. My computer specs: Name: The Torrent CPU: AMD 8350 RAM: 32 GB O/S: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit Case: Zalman Z-11+ # of Fans: 6 case fans installed; Case supports up to seven Graphics cards/ Graphics set up: 2 Way SLI Nvidia GTW 670 LE FTW Direct X version: directX 11 SDD Memory: 512 GB HDD memory: 3TB CD/DVD bays: LITE-ON Black Blu-Ray, lightscribe 3D playback 12X BD-ROM 16X DVD-ROM 2 MB Cache So now not only does my friend have to live with the fact that and AMD Rig beat his, but he now has to live with that fact that a guild built the rig and the same girl beat him twice in two different games. It's not how one processor beats the other, but how well the CPU works with other parts to beat different CPU brand rig.

Pros: -has all these different Card reader ports -Two bays for SSDs. I use one of them for my SSD that holds my O/S -nice filler slot-Activity light color matches my Build's color theme.

Cons: The Activity lights are BRIGHT! The HDD/SSD bay activity lights are really really bright, especially at night.

Free Game

NVIDIA Gift Game Borderlands 2
NVIDIA Gift Game Borderlands 2

Pros: -Free Game -Available as a Steam download. -works best with an SLI set up

Cons: a bit of a run around to redeem the code. No one tells you what to do to actually redeem the code and it wasn't until I redeemed my code that i found out that you get your game on Steam, so please see other to find out how the redemption process works for Borderlands 2.

Overall Review: What you have to do it redeem the code on the Geforece site the card tells you to redeem on. after redeeming the card, Nvidia sends you a Steam Game activation code in an e-mail. use the code you get in your e-mail on steam to finish redeeming your code Then open your Steam Client, go to games then Activate a product on steam. Use the code NVida sent you in the e-mail and Steam will active your copy of Borderlands 2 and you can then download your redeemed game on steam.

Exceeds expectations

LITE-ON Black 12X BD-ROM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM SATA Internal Internal 12x BD Combo Model iHES212-08 LightScribe Support

Pros: -Supports Blu-Ray -Lightscribe -as long as you install the software, it supports 3D play back. I only found out that it supported 3D AFTER I recived them. -Fast!! -Quiet after first use. Bought two of these For my Rig. I have yet to test out the lightscribe.

Cons: They are loud the first time you use them, but it quiets to an almost silent whirr on every use afterwords.
