GOT ISSUES? UPDATE THE FIRMWARE!

TRENDnet TEW-632BRP 300Mbps Wireless N Home Router IEEE 802.3/3u, IEEE 802.11b/g, IEEE802.11n Draft 2
TRENDnet TEW-632BRP 300Mbps Wireless N Home Router IEEE 802.3/3u, IEEE 802.11b/g, IEEE802.11n Draft 2

Pros: The router is finally stable! The wireless signal does not lock up or drop like in the past.

Cons: If you are encountering signal drops or freezes, listen to product reviewer Dasong. You must update the router with the latest firmware from Trendnet's website. The latest firmware release is dated 1/15/08.

Awesome in spurts...Terrible at times

TRENDnet TEW-632BRP 300Mbps Wireless N Home Router IEEE 802.3/3u, IEEE 802.11b/g, IEEE802.11n Draft 2
TRENDnet TEW-632BRP 300Mbps Wireless N Home Router IEEE 802.3/3u, IEEE 802.11b/g, IEEE802.11n Draft 2

Pros: The signal is very strong compared to my existing Wireless-G router. The throughput speed is excellent when the router is functioning properly. I receive a wireless signal even in parts of my house that I couldn't before.

Cons: The signal drops quite often (up to 10 times each day) and for no apparent reason. You can be on the Internet for twenty mintues and lose your connection. After rebooting the router, you can be on for one or two hours, and all of a sudden it drops again. Refreshing your wireless connection does not help. You have to physically reboot the router.

Overall Review: When the router works, the signal strength and speed is excellent. However, be aware that this particular model, or at least the router I received, locks up quite a bit resulting in dropped Internet connections. After lots of testing, I've determined that it's the router. The other independent reviewers did not make this up. Trendnet needs more research and development and quality assurance. So many of us are encountering this problem that it needs to be addressed by their tech support.
