HOLEY BLAZING PROCESSORS BATMAN!

Pros: Obscenely fast, socket 775 is VERY easy to install, Ridiculously fast, lower power consumption, blazingly fast, and it has twice as many cores as I'm used to. Did I mention it was fast? Seriously this thing doesn't need to be overclocked, because it'll blow through anything you throw at it. Plus now that the i7's are out, this workhorse is much more affordable to those with a 775 socket and a budget minded processor. For comparison: My old core 2 duo took almost 10 hours to transcode a 2.5hr 1080p movie to an MPEG. This BEAST takes a little under an hour and a half. Photoshop CS4 starts in under 4 seconds from a cold boot. You name it, this beast can spank it and not break a sweat. You'll only notice your anti-virus scanning if you're working with your hard drive lol
Cons: I guess the quad's don't overclock as well (or was it just as far) as duos, but as I stated, it's really not in need of an overclocking.
Overall Review: I'm a very power hungry user, I game, re-code hi def video, always have torrents going, MP3's playing, etc and I can't find a single con about this processor. Make sure your mobo can handle this guy. Mine (ASUS p5ne-sli) claimed it could handle core 2 quads, yet internet forums claimed it couldn't handle this particular processor. Well internet forums are wrong. This processor is worth every penny for the upgrade. I was pleased with my core2duo, but this quad blows my mind with its ability.
Needed a UHD Compatible Drive. Got one, but needed work

Pros: It fits the specified form factor. I was eventually able to get it to function as desired.
Cons: -False description, item came with an updated, undesirable firmware that renders the drive unable to recognize UHD blu ray discs. Is not easily corrected by users. So the Firmware that ASUS has been flashing to these drives has been prohibitive. If you're not aware, the hardware requirements to meet the copy protection for 4k BD playback on PC are much higher than the actual horsepower requirements. As such, we are forced to ridiculous measures to watch our legally bought and owned UHD blue ray discs. We must rip the data from the disc, in order to bypass these artificial hardware requirements. The more updated firmwares of these drives prohibits us from doing this. The posting clearly states that they have opened the drives, and have flashed the "Friendly", highly desirable 3.00 firmware that makes it UHD friendly, and compatible with the ripping software of choice. I installed the drive, and it would not read a single UHD disc I gave it. 6 discs in, "no disc present" on each. I do some digging. The drive has firmware 3.11 installed on it. Which has a downgrade blocker. So not only will it not read UHD discs, it cannot have 3.00 installed, and the seller was straight up lying in the product information. After much time I managed to track down a method to recover the drive, which ended up flashing a modified 3.11 to the drive, after extracting the OEM firmware on the drive and altering it. This is not an easy process, it's very possible to mess it up, and brick the drive in the process. Part of paying $120 for a blu ray drive in 2023 was that it would come pre-flashed to a correct firmware. Buyer beware, I will not be trusting MCCOOL again. Also, shipping took forever. Expect it to take the full extent of the estimate they give you.
Overall Review: -I would only reccomend this to advanced users who are not intimidated by following a lengthy list of instructions, and who are not bothered by the idea of extracting a firmware, and flashing a new one to the drive. If you do not, it will not read UHD BDs, and only function as a bog standard BD drive, which can be purchased for a fraction of the price. - I left it at 3 eggs because now that I have it flashed and functioning, it is ripping a disc rather expediently and almost completely silent. But had I been less of an IT veteran, I would have been returning this $120 device after waiting 3 weeks for it to show up, tremendously disappointed.
Supports 14th Gen, READ REVIEW

Pros: Great board so far, seems to be rock solid, the quick release button got a laugh from me on purchase, but in person it's actually INCREDIBLY useful.
Cons: Needed me to flash bios before it could take the 14th gen CPU. Would not post otherwise. Flashing bios without posting is actually easy now, thanks to the USB port and associated button on the back. Wasn't so clear to me initially that it was what was needed, and was very stressful as such. A Fat32 formatted USB drive and a trip to ASUS website is all you need for the bios update file. Don't be a dummy like me, prepare it ahead of time. m2 cover plates can be a little wonky getting back on. Nothing terrible, but it's about as close to a fault as I can come so far.
Overall Review: If this is enough PCIe ports for you, then this is a great motherboard. Plain and simple.
Redeem through Intel's site, given a steam code. A-OK in my book.

Pros: Bought the processor I was gonna buy anyway. Got a free game. MSRP normally $40, on sale on steam right now for $24. The code newegg gives you will go into the intel site. The intel site will give you a steam code. It's really a sweetheart deal, I dunno what that other reviewer was smoking lol
Cons: Navigating the intel website could have been a bit smoother, but nothing to rend your clothes over.
Overall Review: Would receive free games for buying intel processors again, 10/10
Killer card, small form factor

Pros: My case is ancient, but I love the thing. It's gorgeous, silent, has room for optical drives, and plenty of hard drives. It doesn't, however, have room for these aircraft carrier sized 30 series cards. This card fits in with room to spare, which automatically makes it much better than other cards, as I can actually USE it! As for performance, I started off with it on a 1080p tv screen, and it was killer. I ended up upgrading to a 4kHDR tv many months later, and I was afraid I was gonna need another upgrade. I'm floored at just how few settings got bumped down 1 notch in GeForce experience to take me from 1080 to 4k HDR gaming. This card is exceptional. And it's quiet. Full load gaming, I barely hear the darn thing.
Cons: -It could have been free? -It could have installed itself? -They could have shipped me a similar sized 3080 "by mistake" and didnt? -I was used to more HDMI inputs, so I had to get some new cables..... None of these are really cons. I restate: this card is exceptional.
Overall Review: 10/10 would reccomend. Obscenely well suited for 1080p gaming, and extremely capable of 60fps 4k gaming in 2023
Does What I Expected

Pros: More than 1 usage worth of compound in the tube. Good name, decent price. What more do you want?
Cons: The tube's almost too tiny, it might be hard to handle for some. Not really a con, but this is a required field after all hehe
Overall Review: Keeps my core 2 quad running within spec. I thought it was running hot, but then I looked at intel's docs, and saw I was well within normal operating range. Good product, and newegg's pristine shipping record is still unbroken!
