LIke it.

SAMSUNG NF310-A01 Intel Atom N550(1.50 GHz) 10.1" 1GB DDR3 Memory 250GB HDD Netbook
SAMSUNG NF310-A01 Intel Atom N550(1.50 GHz) 10.1" 1GB DDR3 Memory 250GB HDD Netbook

Pros: Purchased it to replace a laptop we used during traveling. I am a pilot (by hobby) and use it to file required electronic customs reports. It fits nicely into my flight bag. The machine is fast and so far trouble free. I have had no connectivity issues. I find myself using it on my lap while watching TV to surf the web during commercials, so it handy around the house too. Very nice product. Actually performs to its specifications (although the battery life is a little shorter - but quickly recharges).

Cons: I absolutely HATE the darn Norton prepackaged software on it. I have not been able to get it off (the unistall does not work). I will likely buy McAfee instead as I like that product better, but I figure that darned Norton screen will continue to pop up unless and until I buy their product. What a marketing scam they have going with Samsung. Other than that, I notice that I while on Google, the machine cannot keep up with my typing (not issue outside the internet). Perhaps that is something the speed of the wireless connection.

Overall Review: I just ordered an external DVD drive for it. Should have made that purchase along with the computer as it proven a necessry accessory.

Most Critical Review

Product is not as described - NO password protection included

TOSHIBA 3TB Canvio Connect II Portable Hard Drive USB 3.0 Model HDTC830XL3C1 Blue
TOSHIBA 3TB Canvio Connect II Portable Hard Drive USB 3.0 Model HDTC830XL3C1 Blue

Pros: The drive does function; hence, the two stars

Cons: The product is described as including "Secure your backups with password protection." Toshiba itself makes the same claim on its website. While I have purchased other Toshiba external drives that included password protection software, it was not included in the Canvivo Connect II that I received. I wrote Toshiba support about the problem, they responded by saying: " . . . Unfortunately the Canvio Connect II does not have the password protection feature. My sincere apologies for the inconvenience." Just for kicks I wrote back to Toshiba and pointed out that their own product description states the drive offers: "Secure your backups with password-protected data encryption." See, http://storage.toshiba.com/consumer-hdd/external/canvio-connect-ii I suppose their lawyers may argue the description doesn't actually state that such software is included, just that such software, if the consumer obtains it somewhere else, may function on the drive. I still think that since such software was included by Toshiba in the past on their other external drives, that such a description is a bit misleading to the consumer (at the least a repeat customer such as myself). Oh well, lesson learned (buyer beware).

Overall Review: If you would be satisfied with a functioning drive which does include some sort of automatic backup software, then buy it. Just don't expect to be able to lock your drive if you travel with it. That software is not included.

Buy it for your netbook

Everki Black Charcoal 10.2" Advance Tablet / Netbook Case Model EKB407NCH10
Everki Black Charcoal 10.2" Advance Tablet / Netbook Case Model EKB407NCH10

Pros: Bought this case for my SAMSUNG NF310-A01 Intel Atom N550. The netbook and its needed accessories fit comfortably into the case (with a little extra room for some other small items, e.g. pens, ipod, etc.). Well made product. I certainly got my money's worth and them some.

Cons: none

Overall Review: Really nice case for the money.

A bit small

Eco Style Black/Blue Vertigo 10.2" Neoprene Sleeve Model EEMB-BL10
Eco Style Black/Blue Vertigo 10.2" Neoprene Sleeve Model EEMB-BL10

Pros: Decent quality.

Cons: I purchased it for my SAMSUNG NF310-A01 Intel Atom N550 which by the measurements it should have fit nicely, it did not. I can get the netbook into the case, but just barely. I doubt it will last too long in use because its capacity is literally stretched to the limits
