RBC5 fits, works, arrived with charge

Pros: I have purchased many of these genuine APC batteries. I know I pay more for the name, but once I got a bad one and they made it good. The "name" that you pay for is reputation, and APC has a good one. Packaging is outstanding.
Cons: No cons - comes with jumper installed and their clever plastic tab to remove and install.
Overall Review: Use this one in your APC UPS because they just work. Quick and easy to install while in operation.
Not as good anymore

Pros: They claim that if you buy their battery you keep the lifetime equipment protection, but there is a limit to the time for that.
Cons: The batteries are not as good as they used to be. My home units fail (I have six Smart Ups 700, and one 750) a few months after two years. APC batteries cost twice as much.
Overall Review: I have been tracking replacement dates for a lot of years so I have receipts to prove that the barely last through warranty. I have always used APC at work and at home. Their poor quality is making me reconsider my loyalty to them. There are a lot of other vendors for lower quality products.

Lots of battery for the buck
I bought this battery for an older (but still working) APC UPS. It is a smaller size unit that I needed for network backup. Finding a quality battery at a good price is difficult, but Newegg's web page reviews gave the Chrome battery a top rating, so I looked and found that they made a battery for my unit. I bought it, it arrived quickly, it had almost a full charge on it (but I top-off charged it before using), and it looked like quality. I put it in the unit, turned it on, and the unit passed self test. It has been running for a few weeks. I will review it again at 1, 2, and 3 years.
