Excellent Cooler

Scythe SCKTN-3000 92mm Sleeve "KATANA3" 3Heat Pipes CPU Cooler
Scythe SCKTN-3000 92mm Sleeve "KATANA3" 3Heat Pipes CPU Cooler

Pros: Very good cooler. With Arctic 5 Silver, it keeps a Phemon II X2 555 idle at 21C @ 2500rpm (max), hitting 31C under 100% load. OC'd to 3.6ghz idles at 28C, hitting 36 under 100% load. I dont find it loud at 100% but I also have 5 case fans.

Cons: none

Overall Review: I highly recommend it

Good as a entry level SSD

Mushkin Enhanced ECO2 2.5" 240GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MKNSSDEC240GB
Mushkin Enhanced ECO2 2.5" 240GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MKNSSDEC240GB

Pros: Good price per GB ratio. Worked first try out of the box.

Cons: No wires or mounting hardware (wasn't expecting them). Speeds are well below what is advertised.

Great Case

Cooler Master HAF 912 - Mid Tower Computer Case with High Airflow, Supporting up to Six 120mm Fans and USB 3.0
Cooler Master HAF 912 - Mid Tower Computer Case with High Airflow, Supporting up to Six 120mm Fans and USB 3.0

Pros: Lots of room to work. Comes with tons of extra hardware. Cable management was a breeze. No sharp edges to cut yourself on. Front panel wires are a good length.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: I highly recommend this case, easily in my top 3 cases from here on out. I am not sure how well the 2 stock 120mm fans would have worked, as I immediately upgraded them to 2 200mm fans.

Good fans for HAF Cases

Cooler Master MegaFlow 200 - Sleeve Bearing 200mm Red LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases
Cooler Master MegaFlow 200 - Sleeve Bearing 200mm Red LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases

Pros: These fans run quiet and are not too bright. They come with 3-pin to moldex connectors. They are keeping my case about the same temp as 4 120mm fans with far less noise.

Cons: They are thicker than a 120mm fan, and the mounting hardware provided did not work for a front panel installation. Luckily the HAF 912 came with longer mounting screws. I do not think they are moving 110cfm.

Overall Review: Not a bad fan, but im not sure if they are worth $19.99. I would like to see them include long mounting screws for a variety of installations.

Good Thermal Paste

Arctic Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound AS5-3.5G
Arctic Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound AS5-3.5G

Pros: Worked well on my new Phemon II 555, idles at 21c, max 32c with a Scythe Katana 3. Plenty in the tube for several applications.

Cons: Didnt change the temp of my video card at all.

Overall Review: I recommend it.

Great Motherboard

GIGABYTE GA-770TA-UD3 AM3 AMD 770 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-770TA-UD3 AM3 AMD 770 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Great motherboard. Installed with a Phenom II 555 and was unable to unlock a 3rd core. Installed with DDR3 1600mhz. Detected as 1333mhz, simple change in bios to bring it up. Came with F1 bios, easy to update to F2, still able to unlock cores. They have a beta bios that allowed 6 core cpus, so I am pleased by that.

Cons: I dont have any USB3 or SATA3 devices to use. Had some problems with wireless USB keyboard mouse, enabling USB mouse support fixed it though (i was unable to hit DEL 1/5 times to get into bios setup)

Overall Review: This board requires a 4+4 power connector. My PSU only had a 4pin so I had to buy an adaptor. It does turn on with only the 4pin, I just want to be able to push my components.
