Plastic, Whrryyyy?
Pros: Card is great. I use it for hash calculations and it does this very well.
Cons: The plastic bezel that holds the fans gives me a headache when heated up.
Overall Review: I removed the plastic bezel and zip-tied the fans to the heatsink. Overall temp dropped from 81C to 69C on full load and the plastic iron burning smell went away. This is a great heatsink, but its full potential isn't used because of that plastic casing part.
Have to restart sometimes
Pros: Works well when it is online. Has a good range and signal. Using this as an AP.
Cons: About every 3-4 days of being online, it doesn't allow any connections. Shows up on my wireless devices as being 'disabled'. Restarting the device lets it run for another 3-4 days.
Great mobo
Pros: Great motherboard, has everything one could desire.
Cons: The UEFI slows down boot. It prompts 3? times to go into BIOS configuration.
Overall Review: I'm sure it can be turned off, but doesn't need to be like that by default.
Nice budget raid
Pros: Cheap and works.
Cons: This card doesn't make use of sata cables' locking latches. More than once my raid has gone offline because of a loose connection.
amazing heatsink
Pros: Took my CPU down below room temperature. I was able to OC from 2.8GHZ to 3.5GHZ without any problem (idle at 31C full load at 39C). Once i get a memory upgrade, i believe it can be OC'd more.
Cons: Not really a big con, but the fan seems to be louder than most other zalman fans.
Overall Review: Phenom 2 x720 BE @3.5GHZ with this heatsink
