worth the extra $$

CABLES UNLIMITED USB-1610B All-in-one USB 2.0 Card Reader
CABLES UNLIMITED USB-1610B All-in-one USB 2.0 Card Reader

Pros: I have bought a couple of the ten dollar card readers and had nothing but problems in both cases. This one was worth spending twenty dollars, as it has performed flawlessly, unlike the cheaper competitors.

Cons: none thus far

Waste of Money

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 4350 512MB GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Low Profile Ready Graphics Card GV-R435OC-512I

Pros: none

Cons: Fan started making horrible noise after less than a week of use. What an embarrassment that I put this in a client's new machine -- would have been way better off leaving them with the standard Intel onboard VGA. Total waste of time and money, lesson learned.

Excellent Economical Server

Dell Precision T7610 Workstation 2x E5-2630 2.3GHz 12-Cores 64GB RAM No HDD Nvidia K600 No OS

Pros: We received the refurbished Dell Precision T7610 quickly. Performance-wise, the system is excellent. We needed an economical web/ftp server and this system has been working great thus far. Very pleased.

Cons: There were various cosmetic blemishes but none that are relevant to the machine's performance.

Working great in Dell PowerEdge T630

Kingston ValueRAM 32GB ECC Registered DDR4 2133 (PC4 17000) Server Memory Model KVR21R15D4/32

Pros: We installed 2 of these in a Dell PowerEdge T630 and they were recognized properly and have greatly improved the performance of the Server. Couldn't be happier with the results.

Cons: None

Works Great

Kingston 16GB (2 x 8GB) ECC Unbuffered DDR3 1333 Server Memory Intel Model KVR13E9K2/16I

Pros: Using 4 of these 8gb modules in a Supermicro X9SCM-F and another 4 with an ASROCK C226-WS. Working flawlessly in both systems.

Cons: none

Bought 2 of these, 1 was DOA

WD Red Plus 2TB NAS Hard Disk Drive - 5400 RPM Class SATA 6Gb/s, CMR, 64MB Cache, 3.5 Inch - WD20EFRX
WD Red Plus 2TB NAS Hard Disk Drive - 5400 RPM Class SATA 6Gb/s, CMR, 64MB Cache, 3.5 Inch - WD20EFRX

Pros: I bought 2 of these last year and they are good drives when they're not DOA>

Cons: I bought 2 of these drives. They were well-packaged, as has been the case for a couple of years now with NewEgg's hard drive packaging. Despite the nice packaging, 1 of the 2 drives is totally DOA. Doesn't spin up at all. Tried it in 2 different systems just to be sure. It's just dead. The thing about this that is very aggravating, is how the Western Digital employee responds to all of the low rating reviews here at NewEgg with his standard assertion that, "Our drives are rigorously tested before they leave the factory...blah blah blah." I really want to know exactly rigorously my DOA drive was tested. Who exactly monitors these rigorous tests? I can only conclude either no one actually looks at the test results, or the person reviewing the test results is a true idiot.

Overall Review: t's so irritating to have to pay to ship a DOA drive back to NewEgg, and then wait around for the replacement to arrive. Sure it's not the worst thing that's ever happened to me, but it seems like something that shouldn't happen at all if there was truly any "rigorous" testing going on. It also seems like Western Digital should be paying the return shipping charges, not the customer who is already a casualty of their utter incompetence. The really depressing thing is that Seagate is even worse (by far). And between them, WD and Seagate have bought up all the other hard drive manufacturers, so there is effectively no competition any more = no motivation to do better.

Great Service, Very Knowledgeable

I had some questions after the sale about the cluster size of the hard drives I purchased (Extended Format compatibility questions) and I was really impressed with how fast these guys responded, and how knowledgeable they were (way more knowledgeable than me, that's for sure.) I would definitely buy from them again with total confidence.
