Rosewill SMG Series, SMG1200, 1200W Fully Modular Power Supply, 80 PLUS GOLD Certified, Low Noise Fluid Dynamic Bearing Fan with Auto Speed Control, Japanese Capacitors, Black

Pros: Perfect muscle for a modern rig. I used to build computers regularly, but have been out of the habit the last several years, and upon updating my main PC had much to relearn, including a significant increase in power demands. While I'm sure this set up might be overkill for some, it supplies all the power I need for a good set up, and got me up in running. Plenty of optional cables to fit more gear than I even had to add!

Cons: Its far longer a case than I recall 750 and 800 W 80 golds I used to buy, but still fits my tall case easily. Check your case size if you have tight squeeze and are upgrading from PS that are several years older.

Overall Review: I recommend it to meet most any power needs for modern PC building.

Bloatware to Track and Sell Your Information

Microsoft Windows 11 Home (USB)
Microsoft Windows 11 Home (USB)

Pros: Its the supposed modern "must have" of computing for most people.

Cons: - Chock full of bugs and impossible to repair issues, a major issue for me from a pragmatic point of view is I drop a file on the desktop for convenience and I can't see the file unless I access it via a file viewer or purposefully alter my "view" status for my desktop, why? - Ridiculous entry standards that seems to be built to sell higher end, largely unnecessary computer parts to those who don't necessarily need the upgrades. - Next to impossible to ignore demand to "sign in" in order to be able to use your own computer that you bought, built and own. Is it mine or not? If so, why didn't you give it to me Micro-shaft? - I did not install it in my build. I installed Windows 10, at least I wasn't forced to sign in or give Micro-shaft any more than the necessary info that they likely steal anyway, and hedge beneath an impossibly long, ridiculous set of "check here first" agreements that no one on earth has the time or willpower to read.

Overall Review: Don't buy a beta program. Don't buy spyware/bloatware. Do not give into the the machine. If you must install, go to a youtube guide to install without having to sign-in to a Microsoft Account. Its not needed and its none of their business. Stop paying these people for the privilege's to sell your information, that's all MS is anymore, another data mining social media company.
