Very Pleased with this case.

ORICO 2.5'' HDD Enclosure USB C to SATA III 2.5inch 6Gbps High Speed HDD Enclosure for 7/9.5 mm HDD SSD Support UASP Up to 6TB - 2189C3
ORICO 2.5'' HDD Enclosure USB C to SATA III 2.5inch 6Gbps High Speed HDD Enclosure for 7/9.5 mm HDD SSD Support UASP Up to 6TB - 2189C3

Pros: Screw-less plastic construction Fast speed Included cable Cheap

Cons: Shipping took more than 2 weeks.. but was free and shipped snail mail from China Plastic case - not really a con, but if you expected aluminum, magnesium or titanium @ $10, you'll be disapointed.

Overall Review: I had older Vertex 256GB SSD hanging around. Wanted external case for it. Hoping for something cheap and fast. Historically, IDE/SATA to USB bridges can very greatly in speed (unrelated to actual USB speed). Couldn't be easer to install - plastic pressed down and cover pulled back. Inserted drive. If you've ever changed the batteries in a remote control, you can do this. ;-) Drive included short USB-C to USB cable. Also two small foam pads of differing thickness - to apply to drive to prevent any internal shake or rattle. Tested drive speed and was pleasantly surprised. 300 MB/s writes, 350 MB/s reads to SSD in this case (Bytes, not bits). I don't know native SSD speed of this drive. I was hoping for 200 MB/s, so, obviously happy it was so much faster. I would happily by more of these. Best Deal for $11 I can remember. I see it's on sale now for $8. Wow!

Seagate Desktop HDD ST3000DM001 3TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
Seagate Desktop HDD ST3000DM001 3TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Cheap. Fast.

Cons: Failure Prone

Overall Review: I purchased 4 of these drive in October 2012. At 1.5 years, first drive died. Within the next two months, I have lost the other 3. That's 4 for 4 failing. It was so bad I nearly lost raid.. as drives started dropping out during rebuild. Restarted raid rebuild and made it through.. but sneeze; very bad. 17 years experience with RAID and Seagate drives. Very bad series. Had issue with some of the thin 500GB drive some years back. Making me rethink Seagate.

Maybe support for Tunderbolt 3, but bridge limited to little better than USB-C

ORICO Thunderbolt 3 40Gbps NVME M.2 SSD Enclosure 2TB Aluminum Type-C with 40Gbps Thunderbolt 3 C to C Cable For Mac Windows
ORICO Thunderbolt 3 40Gbps NVME M.2 SSD Enclosure 2TB Aluminum Type-C with 40Gbps Thunderbolt 3 C to C Cable For Mac Windows

Pros: Slightly faster than USB-C g2 Nice aluminum construction

Cons: NOT 40 Gbps.. not even close.

Overall Review: I purchased this to mate with HP EX950 2TB M.2 Drive. Looking for very fast speed for video scratch disk. Orico enclosure advertises 5GB/s speed (40Gb/s) speed. Drive advertises 3500 MB/s Read 2900 MB/s Write. Actual performance is limited to little more than 1/2 drive speed. Only getting 2040 MB/s Read, 1287 MB/s Write. That's bad. Looking into return options. I paid $155 for this enclosure to get only slightly better than a typical 10Gbps case for $30. Looking into return options. Very unhappy. I was hoping for at least 3000 MB/s.

Great sound, short cord

SONY MDREX71SL/WK Gold-plated mini-plug for exceptional corrosion resistance, superb conductivity, low noise Connector Canal White Fontopia Headphones

Pros: Comfortable. Short cord (think they say 18"). Excellent sound.

Cons: Don't care for asymetric cord layout.

Overall Review: I was looking for short cord head phones. I had tried these Sony style ear buds in the past and really like them. I have sensitive ears and normally do not like any "in-the-ear" bud style phones. These, with the soft rubber doughnuts, are extremely comfortable.. they also keep out ambient noise. The cord length is perfect. I wear iPod on shoulder w/ strap and was annoyed with having to wrap up 6-8 feet of cord. Asymetric design means the left ear bears more cord weight... not normally a problem, as cord is extremely light, but, on some very windy days, I have had to stuggle to keep them in.

Excellent Fan

Scythe S-FLEX SFF21D 120mm Case Fan
Scythe S-FLEX SFF21D 120mm Case Fan

Pros: Extremely quite. Quietest fan I've every seen. 3 wire/ 4 wire option. Large enough that, even at only 800rpm, pushed fair amount of air.

Cons: Too quiet, now I hear my cpu and video card fans. ;) My mother board had issues trying to control the speed on this fan, it spun slower than minum RPM allowed by bios (I turned off control on the fan and is ok - not required as fan is virtually silent anyway).

Overall Review: Only fluid bearing case fan I have seen. I am extremely impressed with this fan.. and that is saying alot. If you're trying for a "quiet PC" this is the fan for you. I use smaller case and keep computer on desk by me.. so I want as quiet as possible.

Pretty Good Case

APEVIA X-QPACK-NW-BK/420 Black Aluminum 1.0 w/ ABS plastic front panel Micro ATX Desktop Computer Case 420W Power Supply
APEVIA X-QPACK-NW-BK/420 Black Aluminum 1.0 w/ ABS plastic front panel Micro ATX Desktop Computer Case 420W Power Supply

Pros: Takes standard micro-atx boards. Smallish form factor. Nice Box. Like the removable Mobo chassis.

Cons: Cables for front 3x too long. 120MM Rear Fan 4pin - should be 3pin so connect to motherboard. Power Supply questionable - spit out some nasty fumes and light smoke on initial burn-in. Seems ok since.

Overall Review: Decent Case. Looks good. Score this one 7 of 10.
