Raspberry Pi
Pros: Raspbian likes it out of the box
Cons: N/A
No JEDEC 5600 in the SPD
Pros: Fantastic price Good speeds Decent timings
Cons: If you're limited to a system firmware that only likes JEDEC ( no XMP or EXPO ), these aren't the RAM for you. They have two JEDEC 4200 entries and two 6400 entries in the SPD, nothing for 5600.
Overall Review: Great for overclockers, but missing JEDEC 5600
Decent JEDEC 5600
Pros: Recognized by DELL XPS 8960 After a system update, came in at 5600
Cons: Subtimings in the SPD could be 5600AN 40-40-40, but 42 ain't bad
Overall Review: Great if you have a system firmware that's not designed for memory tweaking.
LGTM
Pros: Decent card for the price
Cons: Had trouble waking up a certain brand of monitor; appeared to successfully navigate EDID but HDCP between the two failed and the monitor stayed asleep on HDMI.
Overall Review: I don't have the test gear to find out how compliant either piece of equipment is with the EDID / HDCP / HDMI specs. Same GPU SVGA port, no problems; same GPU different HDMI monitor, no problems. Different GPU failed monitor, no problems.
BEST CPU HS, except rust
Pros: Can mount in either orientation, cools like a beast, easy to attach / setup
Cons: Both of the supplied mounting bars I received had spots of rust where the nut is welded into the main load bar. This is unacceptable for such a highly rated product.
Overall Review: Would have been five stars except for the rust -- I'm honestly shocked. SilentPCReview turned me on to this HSF.
Doesn't Fit Stock Intel IOH
Pros: The heatsink itself is exactly what I wanted; direct-contact heatpipe for a chipset. It fits snugly up against the 120mm fan on my CPU cooler.
Cons: No backplate, not enough screws / nuts to tie down all four corners, thermal paste is in a 'ketchup packet' style single-use applicator, supplied mounting arms aren't long enough to fit stock Intel IOH
Overall Review: I was attempting to replace the noisy IOH HSF on my Intel DX58SO -- ended up making several trips to the hardware store and raiding the parts bin to get this thing mounted.
LGTM
Looks Good To Me
