Better than a netbook
Pros: I just got this in and wow im impressed with: Keyboard, No cpu fan noise, single 2gb stick of 800mhz ram (one empty slot that will be filled with another 2gb, Display is clean and clear, Powered up first try with no problems, Windows 7 64bit, Bigger screen than a netbook, Dvd burner, ATI 4100 mobility graphics, 250gb HDD... All for $350. Great system for the money.
Cons: Only 2 USB ports and No Hdmi (LOL).
Overall Review: Must stress for $350 you cant go wrong. I have on order another 2gb stick of ram and a AMD turion ultra II 600m CPU. Total cost for upgrades is $140. So for under $500 I get a laptop worth roughly $700 to $800. Not bad considering what is out there for under $500. The cpu I found on e bay. Please do your research before you upgrade any laptop cpu. They are very picky on which chipsets they run on and the socket for this product is S1G3.
Broken front panel
Pros: The case looks good. 500 watt PSU Rosewill model#CVP-500 Specs(+5v=20amp, +3.3v=24amp, 12v1=19amp, 12v2=18amp, -12v=.5amps, +5vsb=2.5amps) -2 sata connectors - 20+4 MOBO connector -4/8 pin mobo connector -3 4pin molex w/floppy connector -1 6pin pcie The PSU should power most MOBO and video cards (w/1 6pin pcie connetor) nvida 250gts or below Seems to have plenty of space even for larger vid cards (will be tight but should fit no problem) 3> 120mm fans 2 that light up blue Clear side panel with a spot for 120 mm fan
Cons: The front panel was broken making the case unuseable. Contacted newegg thru the live chat and seems that they will be contacting the manufacture and sending out a new front panel. If they do this I would change my review to 5 stars. Door seems ok but it only opens maybe 110degs which if your rough opening the door it will most likely break.
Overall Review: First time buying a Rosewill product my experience so far is ok. Using this case for an HTPC Sytem= Evga 780i mobo, q6700 cpu, True 120 Extreme cooler, Evga 9800gtx Video card, 500 GB HDD, and a 80gb HDD. ***Only time will tell how long the PSU will survive...
Awsome case
Pros: Excellent case for water cooling. Install an xspc water cooling set up. Plenty of room for larger video cards. Great ventalation. Hot swap HDD feature comes in very handy, since I repair computers. Excellent cable mangement.
Cons: Should come with the small fan for the side....
Excellent Video Card
Pros: Great temps. DX 11, Quite Cooling fan, Excellent picture quailty on a 58" Plasma. Gaming on high to ultra high seetings on all games.
Cons: None
Wont work in toshiba satellite
Pros: None .
Cons: Wont boot in a toshiba satellite.
Overall Review: Hoping I can get credit and try a different set of ram. I matched up the timings and speed will not boot windows....
EXCELLENT Ram
Pros: The support forums at gskill helped get this ram running @ 2000mhz. They have settings for multiple MOBO's. Im running a I5 720 @ 3.4 ghz, 4gb 2000mhz ddr3 gskill ram, gigabyte p55 udr3. Very fast speeds. Fist time owing gskill and I will be returning to buy another set soon.
Cons: Heat sink is tall may not work with some coolers. Still haven't had time to test out the V-10. Doesn't look like there will be enough room. Does not matter since Im running a zalmen 9700 with temps 28C idle and 54C loaded (intel burn test)
Overall Review: for just over $100 its a great buy. You wont find bettter ram at these speeds for the cost....
