Great board, great features!
Pros: * Very sturdy * Lots of fan connectors and thermometers (onboard and external) * Each fan can be configured at various speeds, depending on the temperature. * Works great! * Nice Bios features, and Thermal Radar 2 software for temp/noise control.
Cons: * Accessory fans are loud before running the thermal tuning, can be a bit unattractive until you figure out that little secret. * I'm not a big fan of the SATA connectors behind the GPU. * Had some minor difficulty installing the small IO fan.
Overall Review: * Make sure you run a thermal tuning on the Thermal Radar 2 software! It will greatly help with the noise from the accessory fans and give you better control over all of the fans.
Decent product ruined by software bug
Pros: - Dual cameras easy to adjust and point, great for quickly pointing it out your drivers side window if talking to someone. - Playback software fairly simple - Easy to extract to AVI - Came in handy catching a scammer
Cons: - Software bug prevents the date from incrementing past the end of the month. In fact it goes backwards in time about 3 weeks. When it deletes the oldest video files, it deletes yesterdays and preserves the end of the month files because the date is wrong. They claim there will be no firmware updates to fix this. - The power/data adapter does not seat properly in the device over time, nor is it a standard format like microUSB. I've already had the adapter replaced once and the second is acting up. - The video data is hidden on the SD card and can only be extracted using their software - Can only view video using MS Windows
Overall Review: - Extract and files you think you may need immediately. It does not matter how big a card you have, unless you are fixing the date on a monthly basis, you never know what data files it will delete on next power-on.
Best price per TB, works great for long term storage
Pros: - Large disk size - Reliable - Disk fairly easy to remove from enclosure.
Cons: - Had 1 DOA out of 5 drives over the past 3 years, replaced at no cost.
Overall Review: - Current 'Power On Hours' of drives in use - 2.7yrs, 2.3yrs, 1.1yrs, 1hr
Avoid
Pros: Fast when it works. Fits nicely in front of my radiator which takes up part of the 5" bay.
Cons: The first one I got started to read my SD card then froze up. USB 2.0 was not working right either. After fidgeting around with it, it turned out that if the power cable was plugged in, the cards and USB 2.0 would not work. After 12 hours in that configuration it stopped reading until I rebooted. Needless to say I had to return it at MY expense. The replacement part behaved exactly the same way, however it seems to be working on the USB 2.0 ports without the power plugged in, so I will leave it this way.
Overall Review: Go with something cheaper if you don't need the USB 3.0 support.
Works great!
Pros: Works great, fans are nice and quiet. Stress test temp for a Core2 Duo was 35C (55C on old fan, nice improvement). Stress test temp for a i7 4790K (4.0Ghz) peaks at 60C, but drops quickly when the test is over. Was a great value at $59.99!
Cons: Limited by length of tubes. Tubes are very stiff, hard to turn into needed positions.
Overall Review: I mainly bought this for noise reduction. I had been watching both fan and liquid cooling prices, looking for a good replacement for my original CPU fan. This was a great deal! Make sure you have room for the radiator and fans!
Nice upgrade!
Pros: Looks great at full resolution. Considerably brighter than my TN panel, and dark video scenes look great compared to my TN. Decent price for an IPS. I like it!
Cons: I couldn't figure out how to turn it on, I thought it had fancy touch screen style buttons since I could not see the physical buttons on the underside. The microphone jack gives the impression that it has speakers when it does not, it is the audio out for the HDMI.
