Intel Core i7-920 - Core i7 Bloomfield Quad-Core 2.66 GHz LGA 1366 130W Processor - BX80601920
Intel Core i7-920 - Core i7 Bloomfield Quad-Core 2.66 GHz LGA 1366 130W Processor - BX80601920

Pros: FAST. Also a realy overclockable chip, was able to hit 3Ghz on stock air without breaking a sweat. I will be pushing it much farther when I go liquid cooling. I have heard most people are getting it to 3.6-4.0Ghz on good air or water. I am upgrading from a Amd 4000+ and this thing handles everything I throw at it and asks for more.

Cons: None that I can see so far

Overall Review: The stock hsf does a decent job and is real quiet, so if you are not overclocking then dont waste the money on an aftermarket one.

Works Perfectly (winXP - Win 7 64)

ASUS Black 4.8X BD-ROM 8X DVD-ROM 24X CD-ROM USB External External Slim BD Combo Model SBC-04D1S-U
ASUS Black 4.8X BD-ROM 8X DVD-ROM 24X CD-ROM USB External External Slim BD Combo Model SBC-04D1S-U

Pros: Slim, Bus powered, Power DVD included, Stand

Cons: Uses two usb ports

Overall Review: I was looking for a good external slim BD drive for my M11x, this seemed to fit the bill perfectly. The drive works as a plug and play device under windows, the included disk has Power DVD and some burning extras. I have tested it with windows xp32 and windows 7 64. Works as an out of the box BD player for your PC. The build quality is great, it feels solid and has a real nice blue led light on the side with customisable brightness. I have not tried burning any discs yet however it has played several newer BD movies just fine. It does however require the use of two usb ports to supply the necessary current. I did test it on my smal viliv tablet using a usb wall plug to provide the extra juce just fine. If you have a netbook without an optical drive or just want to add a BD drive to your pc, I could not recomend this drive more

Great mobo

GIGABYTE GA-EX58-EXTREME LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-EX58-EXTREME LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Good board layout, lots of sata / usb ports. I am running an i7 920 @ 3Ghz on stock air untill I switch to liquid and it's rock solid and stable. The board feels and looks well made and there are lots of extras.

Cons: It is a bit pricey for what you get, however that is the current trend in motherboards to load it to the gills and charge a premium for it.

Overall Review: This board lights up like a christmas tree I counted like 30+ led's on it. I made the mistake of putting a 6Gb tri channel mem kit on it and Vista 32bit only sees 3-4Gb of it, not a big deal but sort of a waste.
