Pros: ASROCK took my first board back

Cons: This one had same issue - boot up and says to insert disk or select boot device. Go into BIOS change HD to primary boot device and starts fine. Leave it off for more than 8 hours and it won't boot again. Go into BIOS and the DVD is back as primary boot device and won't boot without disk. Two issues. One - even if DVD is empty the bios should try second device. Second - if I change the BIOS and save/exit then the BIOS should stay the same. Same issue as first board, but no reply from ASROCK when I email them this time.

Overall Review: At what point does ASROCK have to stop the RMA dance and replace with a different board or refund my purchase price? I have to pay shipping for the RMA everytime.

Pros: cheap

Cons: LAN to WAN stops randomly - can prove it by unplugging desktop from router and plugging into cable modem good connection. Also wireless stops - meaning no longer can see SSID broadcast even using netscanning equipment. This is the 2nd unit that this issue has come up with.

Overall Review: Trendnet does not offer advance replacement even if you have an ongoing issue and have to RMA mulitple times. They expect you to go without a router for several weeks while they process your RMA. Don't recommend purchasing any of their equipment due to customer service or lack there of.

Cons: Zyxel does not know what causes disconnect because they think that firmware version 360BFD2D0 has corrected it and it hasn't. I get disconnects only feet away from the router. I even get hangs on the LAN ports. This is not anywhere as good as their Zywall products.

Overall Review: In response to Zyxel - I tried that firmware download you reference and it did not fix the issue as I have reported on several occassions to Mark Hsu.

Pros: The gigabit switch works well when it works.

Cons: I have had the X550N as a replacement to the X550 and have had nothing but problems.This router disconnects the wireless client constantly when using the US version of firmware. When using several foreign versions of firmware I am able to get it to connect, but while indicating a good connection you cannot ping the gateway from the client. The wireless disconnect problem is documented by other users on several other websites and it is an issue like the power supply was with the X550- Zyxel's policy is if they don't admit a problem then it doesn't exist. The gigabit switching is slower than my X550 rated at only 100Mbs. After several months of emails with Zyxel they are of no help. This is the 5th product I have purchased from them after living through the X550 recall and they have not improved. Zyxel continues to use the customer as their R&D.
