SATA for a Non-SATA Motherboard

Pros: Good overall controller card 3 drive slots (2 SATA, 1 ATA) Supports multiple OS User friendly instruction manual Driver installation CD
Cons: SATA 1.5 (not 3.0)
Overall Review: I have been using this card for nearly a year without any issues at all. Used this card to connect a 250GB SATA (3.0) HDD to my old motherboard which only has ATA. Simply popped a jumper into the HDD to force it into SATA 1.5 transfer mode before installing. Had to copy the driver from the CD onto a floppy for a fresh install of Windows XP on the unformatted HDD. The manual explains this procedure well.
Still Going Strong

Pros: Does what it claims to do Inexpensive Quick response time LightScribe labeling Reliable Excellent software on the CD
Cons: None
Overall Review: I've owned this drive for 11 months; it has yet to create a coaster.
It Works

Pros: Heavy Duty No Ghosting Inexpensive
Cons: None
Overall Review: Was able to connect a laptop to a 40" LCD HDTV without a hitch. Maintained a high resolution image and required no configuration to get the image to fill the widescreen. Though the product image shows the connector to have 14 pins, I received a cable manufactured with all 15 pins. Bonus Metal! (Some pins are not actually necessary for modern uses of VGA; they are like your appendix, but won't explode)
Does the Job

Pros: Excellent graphics upgrade for older systems 512MB memory Fanless (one less thing to break) AGP 4x/8x card for older motherboards Adequate driver and directX 9/10 provided on install CD Both VGA and DVI output plus a DVI to VGA converter eVGA support
Cons: Somewhat spendy for an outdated card, though this is expected for older GPU chipsets on old AGP cards (not exactly in the primary market these days)
Overall Review: My first nVIDIA card. Plugged it in and installed the driver provided on the CD, which was dated for October 2008. Works great on my 6-year old desktop. No issues yet. AMD Athlon XP 2500+ (1.83GHz) 2GB Ram Windows XP (SP2) With 2 case fans (back/side), the on-board core temperature sensor indicates an idle temp around 50C and while running games like Far Cry (original) and Portal, 75C. The card has a GPU core slowdown threshold of 130C by default.
