Pros: I purchased two of these drives in January, and install them as soon as I received them. I used Windows XP Disk Management in Computer Management under Administrative Tool to format the drives. Everything went very smoothly. I now have been using them everyday for about a month now and they are still working perfectly fine. They are also very quiet compared to old (Maxtor D740X-6L) hard drives that I replaced with these larger, quieter, and faster drives. I am well satisfied with my purchase from Newegg.

Overall Review: Wished they were 500Gb.

Pros: Yep, it is a nice unit. My first step in building a TB plus external hard drive box. Just need to wait a little longer for the 500GB drives to drop to half price when the TB ones come out to main stream. Unit is pretty solidly built, nice gloss black paint job. Virtually no tools needed to install drives. Configuration switches are SWEET. Pretty quiet, even when fan is turned on (hard drives are noisier). Handy fan power switch in the front next to main power switch. Also, hard drive activity indicator LEDs, (depending on how the Configuration switches are set), and a cool blue power LED in the front too. Nothing to install on Win. XP, just load it up with the drives, plug in the USB and power, Windows will see the drives right away.

Cons: Nothing really. Only thing I can think of, is that the cabling gets a little tight when loading it up with four hard drives.

Overall Review: A firewire connection would have been nice to, but no big deal, USB 2.0 is just as fast.
