Audiophile Grade
Pros: Outstanding Sound quality, The sennheiser pc350 really shine with the card. I own the sennheiser HD 280 and the tritton's AX720 and this card made the sound awesome. The audio quality on the PC350 is comparable to the 280's with a more soundstage. Also the Dolby Digital Live via SPDIF sound great on my home theater. The build quality on this card is also top notch
Cons: driver had problem the first install with win 7 64...(unistalling and reinstalling did fix the problem)
Overall Review: I am and audio enthusiast and very picky with sound quality and the DAC's on this card are very similar to those on the Xonar Essence, In fact the sound quality seems to rival my Yamaha high end receiver. Lets face it for $70 more you get the sound quality of the Essence and a Pair of $180 headphones.
not wort it
Pros: solid halo gameplay
Cons: full price for an expansion pack, no new competitive multiplayer other than firefight. the had 2 years to fix the antianalising issue and they didn't. borders, fences etc. are extremely jagged. there's no excuse to this as others large scale games can do 2xAA on this hardware an still run smooth.
Overall Review: skip this and wait until it drops to $20
Best In class
Pros: Overclocks really well and can run anything you can throw at it at least at 1920x1080...I'm running at 900 core/1000 mem. Temps are on the 40C's with the fan at 50%. Score 18338 on 3dmark06...runing Phenom IIx4955@3.4ghz, 4Gb DDR3 1600, on asus 785G evo mobo.
Cons: no HDMI cable
Overall Review: $60 cheaper than the 6870 and can rival it with decent OC & $20 cheaper than the nvidia GTX 460 1gb and this one is still faster in most games
great price/perfomance
Pros: Fast, the Intel I3 @ 2.4Ghz does it's job and with the Intel HD GPU embedded directly on the CPU you get decent HD performance even for moderate gaming, I can play portal and runs smooth. The H/K speaker are better than I though and they have plenty of power to play loud. Keyboard is well placed and does not feel cluttered...for $749 you get what the Sony vaio E series offers with better speakers and better construction and this one is $100 cheaper...
Cons: battery life is about 2 Hours in balance mode....still you get about 4.7 hours in eco mode
Overall Review: you get a fast system for every day, work, multimedia and more at an attractive price point
Best racing game....period
Pros: top notch graphics; 60fps gameplay make the game look more realistic. more cars and tracks that you can imagine. Drive a Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4SV or a Ferrari 458 Italia to mention some and you'll be hooked.
Cons: they have a Toyota yaris in it?
Overall Review: You can choose to play it full arcade, full simulation or somewhere in between
a fast beast
Pros: AMD, 45nm, unlocked multiplier, 8mb total cache " good price"
Cons: it didn't installed by itself!
Overall Review: save some $ and get this over the 965 (set the multiplier to 17 and you get a 965 with no noticeable overheat a no voltage increase) got mine running @ 3.6 on stock voltage with a OCZ vendetta cooler. I could go higher if I bump the voltage but there's no need to. Even @ 3.2 this CPU is insanely fast so you get the idea. My system : AMD Phenom II X4 955 @3.6Ghz Asus M4A785TD-V EVO 2 x 2GB gskill DDR3 1600MHZ WD caviar "green" 750GB HDD 32MB cache sony DVD-RW Coming soon ( ATI HD 5850)
