Pros: Runs without any problems, as fast as i expected, runs fairly cool. Came with a free copy of 3D Mark 08. Cheaper than similar memory and still a good name. Heat spreaders looks nice and seem to work well.
Pros: Fast, stable, cool, and quiet. What more could I possibly ask for. Price is very fair for what you get.
Overall Review: This is an upgrade from an Athlon XP 3200+
What a difference.
Pros: Quick read and write. SATA. Cool and quiet.
Cons: See Below.
Overall Review: Not a big problem but for some reason when i installed windows it only read the hard drive as 127GB, then I had to find the other half and format it so it would recognize it and now I have two partitions. I don't mind as long as I'm getting the storage I paid for I just thought it was weird.
Pros: Keeps my Athlon X2 6000+ nice and cool, about 33 idle and 39-41 load.
Cons: Big. I don't care though, my RAM fits fine.
Overall Review: replaced the thermal compound with Arctic Silver 5
Pros: Very easy build with this board. On board sound is great, all my components worked perfectly. Asus software has a lot of useful tools on it.
Cons: No 1394 support, but I have never used it before so I doubt I will miss it. No SLI on this model, doesn't affect me but for those of you who want an SLI setup don't buy this board.
Overall Review: This was my first build and ASUS as made a fantastic first impression, will be buying from them in the future.
Pros: Works, burns fast, looks good in my case.
Overall Review: I bought two.
Pros: Massive case, massive fans, massive cooling, massive awesome looking... this case keeps everything running nice and cool, when idling everything in my case runs at 32 degrees C or lower aside from the GPU, which runs around 37 or 38.
Cons: the built in speed controllers on the side of the case do not work on mine, my fans are at full RPM all the time. Not really too upset though because they run pretty quietly.
Overall Review: Was a breeze to work inside of, plenty of room for whatever you want and cable management isn't much or a problem.
Pros: Installed easy. Heat sinks are low enough to fit under my cpu cooler, but still keep it cool (under 30 degrees C most of the time, occasionally gets up to about 35 under heavy loads in my case). Price is good for 4 GB of memory from a good brand.
Cons: Really cant think of any for my needs.
Overall Review: I have everything running at the factory specs, not sure how well these overclock.
Pros: Pretty, lots of colors, changeable face plates, works as intended.
Cons: not all of the fans in my case are 3 pin connectors and therefore can not be used with this controller, i knew that going into it though.
Overall Review: If you want a fairly accurate (within 2 degrees C) temperature monitor that can also control case fans and the volume of you speakers this is the one to go for.
Pros: FREE!!! with the purchase of my El-Diablo case. It's actually a pretty comfortable chair, I use it whenever I play video games now. Rocks all the way back so I can pretend that I'm actually getting shot in the chest with a shotgun.
Cons: When something is free there is no such thing as a con. However, if you are paying for it know that it is just 3 pieces of plastic with a foam cover, not exactly worth 100 bones.
Overall Review: Free > Not Free
Pros: Keyboard feels nice and looks good with my monitor and speakers. The programmable function keys and hot keys on the side are very handy. The mouse is comfortable and the tilt wheel is great (I never had one with tilt before). Battery life in the mouse is good and the keyboard is still on the batteries it came with.
Cons: They don't sell the keyboard separate from the mouse, I really want to get a nice gaming mouse down the line. It would be nice if it was rechargeable.
Pros: Incredibly easy to use, massive amounts of protection, daily updates, and start-up protection. Price is reasonable for 3-keys. It isn't much of a resources hog either, my computer runs just as smooth as it did with competitor's products. Firewall works well and isn't annoying.
Cons: Full computer scan is a bit slow, but it doesn't need to be performed to often. After the first scan Kaspersky keeps a constant watch over the whole computer and will immediately notify you of any problems.
Overall Review: This is the second year in a row I have used Kaspersky and I will probably be a customer for a while if they keep up the service.
Pros: Big bright screen, excellent navigation, 80 gigs of storage is plenty. The size and weight of the player is perfect for me. The sound is fine and volume gets pretty loud. I personally like the Zune software and they have come out with updates to make it better and more streamlined.
Cons: No microphone like some of my other players have had. No removable battery pack. Proprietary USB cable, but that's the same for most players these days. This is all just nit-picking and doesn't take away from my score, just things to think about.
Overall Review: I have a Black model, not a Red one. I have also owned the original Zune and this model is a vast improvement.
