It's a wrist strap...

Rosewill RTK-001 Premium Anti-Static Wrist Strap
Rosewill RTK-001 Premium Anti-Static Wrist Strap

Pros: None of my components were fried when I fired up the computer for the first time!

Cons: The cord says its six feet long. However, it is coiled, so the effective length is much shorter (~3-4 feet).

Overall Review: It was a combo with my order so there wasn't really any cost to me...

Worked great in my old computer!

GIGABYTE GA-G41MT-S2PT -- LGA 775 - Intel G41 + ICH7 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-G41MT-S2PT -- LGA 775 - Intel G41 + ICH7 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Relatively easy to set up. I mean, it is a motherboard so I had to disconnect all the old stuff and reconnect all the new, but it was fairly straight-forward

Cons: -It only had one case fan socket while my case has a front hard drive fan and a rear board fan. Not a huge deal though. -One of the SATA connectors is pretty wobbly on its solder joint to the board but seems to work fine. It probably won't be touched ever, so I'm not overly worried about.

Overall Review: This board was for an old socket so I didn't expect too much in the way of features, but this board seems to be well thought out and high quality for the most part.

Great for HTPC use

Western Digital AV-GP WD20EURS 2TB 64MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
Western Digital AV-GP WD20EURS 2TB 64MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Super quiet. Stays pretty cool.

Cons: None so far.

Overall Review: I was using this drive as a backup drive to a 6 year old 500GB WD drive and a 2 year old 1TB Samsung drive until about a month ago when the 500GB drive died. Since then, it has been backing up the 1TB and replacing the functionality of the 500GB. I'm reviewing it because I am back here ready to buy a second one to replace the 500GB drive so I can get back to regular back ups.

Great mouse

Logitech MX Revolution Black 7 Buttons 2 x Wheels RF Wireless Laser Mouse
Logitech MX Revolution Black 7 Buttons 2 x Wheels RF Wireless Laser Mouse

Pros: Smooth sliding on the desk, the free spinning scroll wheel is the best, no cord, forward/back buttons

Cons: Not sure about the program switching wheel. I need to tweak this a bit more in the settings.

Overall Review: I hate the Set Point software that Logitech uses. I wish it was geared more to the specific device and was more user friendly.

Great keyboard

Saitek PZ30AU 104 Normal Keys 4 Function Keys USB Wired Standard Eclipse Blue Backlit Keyboard
Saitek PZ30AU 104 Normal Keys 4 Function Keys USB Wired Standard Eclipse Blue Backlit Keyboard

Pros: Plugs in and the volume/mute buttons just work. No need to load Proset or other software.

Cons: The lights come through round circles on the back of the key. This causes it to not fully illuminate some keys (such as the N at the end of Page Down, most of the ! on the top of the 1 key, etc). Overall, I like it.

Overall Review: If it would remember the prior backlight setting that would be cool. When my overhead light is on, it is much easier to see the keys with the backlight off. When I restart, the backlight is back to full.

Excellent board...

ASUS P5N-E SLI LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS P5N-E SLI LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: I am not overclocking, so this or most other boards would fit my needs fine. I like all the ports on this board (SATA, USB, 1394, etc). The BIOS flash was super easy to use with a USB thumbdrive. Pop in the flashdrive, select the BIOS flash menu, DONE!

Cons: None

Overall Review: I was glad the BIOS flash was simple and USB-based. I had a new 45nm Intel, so I need to newest BIOS.
