Works on my EeePC

Pros: Slipped this into my EeePC 8G to cheaply triple the available storage. Same unit costs twice as much at a local sFtRoYrSe. Device was recognized and mounted immediately. Seems to work fine. Data throughput is sufficient to burn CD and DVD images from this card to a USB burner.
Cons: I can't think of any negatives, but this is the first flash card I've owned so I've no basis for comparison.
Overall Review: I bought this to increase the storage on my EeePC. For this use it works nicely. I got this in my 11th order from newegg. I've spent almost $20k of mine and other people's money here over the last 6 years and these guys continue to rock the hizzouse. Way to go, newegg.
tiny, cool, works on my EeePC

Pros: Runs fine off USB power from my EeePC (on battery) using the included single USB cable. Xandros/Debian recognized and mounted it automatically. Sustained throughput is sufficient to burn CD & DVD's from it to a USB burner. There's no fan or vents, but the shell is aluminum and barely gets warm during sustained (10 min) reads or writes.
Cons: This is the first USB HD I've owned so I don't know if this is expected or not, but the LED stays lit and the unit continues to draw power after I've unmounted the device and even after I've powered down my EeePC. I've got to physically unplug the drive to shut it down completely. I haven't noticed any issues resulting from this.
Overall Review: I bought this drive for 2 reasons. First because its small, second because its powered entirely from USB. There are other 60Gb drives that are smaller, but they're nearly twice the cost!
Quiet, fast, works with my EeePC

Pros: Small, quiet, fast. I'm running cdroast under Xandros/Debian on an EeePC & this drive burns CD's, DVD's, & plays movies on just USB power (even with just the battery). Power is in a small/tiny brick and not a blister which is nice except I don't even need it! Meets all my needs/expectations.
Cons: Doesn't come with Linux burning software, else I'd give it a 5. Mechanism where the disc snaps on to the hub is kind of tight. At first I felt timid pushing down very hard on this delicate device. It seems to take the pressure just fine so I got over it.
Overall Review: So far so good. I haven't noticed the sloppiness in the sockets that other people mentioned, but I've plugged it in less than 10 times total. I'll see how it holds up after I've bounced it around in my backpack for a few more weeks.
