Intel NUC Panther Canyon PAHi7 With 11th Gen Core Processors i7 1165G7 RNUC11PAHi70001 Mini PC Barebone System, Single Pack

Pros: -Smaller than I expected -Easy to open and install Memory and Storage -Very quiet, even under load -Very fast

Cons: -Larger power brick than I was expecting for the power rating of the device, and apparently it's slimmed down from what it used to be -Requires building a custom image to install ESXi 7 as of this review, but that's a con of VMware

Overall Review: Very nicely built device, feels premium in hand, and runs ESXi 7 smoothly once you go through the process of building a custom image to support the onboard Intel NIC. Threw a pair of 32GB sticks of RAM in it for a total of 64GB memory and currently have it running about 10 VMs so far using mostly a 1TB NVMe drive that I installed, but two smaller VMs are running off an NFS-mounted NAS volume. Every app is very snappy. Looks like there's currently a bug with Windows using the Iris Xe graphics if you map them through VMware, so time will tell how that behaves once patched. Overall, I would recommend it for a lab ESXi environment.
