Remove your ear muffs and get this card

Pros: I fried my 24-bit Live! sound card by pushing it over the edge and needed an upgrade. I didn't inted to buy this card. I was going for the lower end version with the X-Fi but decided what the heck, spend the extra cash to get a decent product. Wow. I love it. I can never go below this sound card again. I am glad that I shelled out the extra $. Music is more crisp then what I have ever heard. There are a lot of options to play with in the card settings as well. Once you turn on the crystallizer, you will never use the card without it. Make sure you have headphones or speakers with decent quality so that you can enjoy the full potential of this card. Installing it was a snap.
Cons: One small snag when installed. I have a 6800GT (AGP) vid card that got disabled when I put the sound card in. My computer went into 4-bit color mode and I had a "code 12" error in my display device. I found someone on the Creative forums that had the same problem with the same vid card. All I had to do was change the AGP aperture size in my BIOS to 256 and the problem was corrected. I would suggest that if you purchase this card, make sure that you know how to manage your system just in case you come across any issues. This isn't a "card for dummies" it is a higher end sound card for people who want top notch quality in gaming.
Overall Review: This card added an extra dimension to BF2. The 3D effects are incredible. I actually started laughing when i fired up BF2 because I can't believe that I was using such a dumpy card before. When someone is shooting from behind, it isn't just "behind me" it is over my right shoulder or to the left of me. Guns have a crisp POP instead of a dull muffled sound. After firing you can hear the echo through the environment. The sound is addicting because it is so crisp and real. Someone commented about "look at the forums, there are a ton of unhappy people with this card" Any forum for any product will be filled with people having problems. Who goes to a forum to say "man this card is sweet" I am very happy with it and just because people don't know how to work their hardware, don't let them scare you away. You will never be able to get lesser of a sound card after hearing what comes out of this one.
Ok

Pros: Loooong cable for good reach Very comfortable ear cups Good sound quality Sturdy Build and lightweight
Cons: The main con that I can think of is due to the lack of features for the higher price you pay in comparison to the competition. I did get a lot of sound "bleeding" meaning that the mic picked up the audio. I couldn't game with loud music because the mic picked it up from the ear cups. Inline Volume / Mic control was sadly cheap feeling and sure enough, it broke which ended these guys.
Overall Review: My inline control started to get weird where jiggling the wire caused noise. Eventually, something came lose in there and there is no more audio. I had these for ~ 2 years so I feel like $80 worth of headphones should last longer and sound better than a $50 pair. I think you have to pay extra for the brand name an for the extravagant packaging with these guys.
Uh...Mac Support?

Pros: Lightweight so it seems quite portable.
Cons: Read only on my wife's mac but works just fine on my PC.
Overall Review: So....bust this thing out to find that I can't drop files onto it using my wife's macbook. The drive is read only on the mac for some reason. Great, thanks. Nothing more logical than a backup hard drive being read only. Looks like I can format it somehow but now I need to research how to do that on the mac because I don't use macs. There should be something about this in the product specs.
Read Carefully

Pros: I upgraded my motherboard from a 775 socket to the i7 1366 socket. The stock Xigmatek S1283 heat sink push pin system does not fit on the 1366 socket so these brackets are what I needed in order to keep my heat sink. Much much better than the plastic push pins. After installing the heat sink a few times the push pins looked like they were going to break at any time so this is a nice upgrade...besides allowing me to use my old heat sink on my new CPU/MOBO. Saved me ~$30 because I was about to get a new heat sink for the larger socket but I am really happy now because I get to keep my 1283.
Cons: Can't find the Xigmatek install instructions on their website. I love my Xigmatek products but their website needs to make things more accessible. Too bad the heat sinks don't come with these brackets because they are much more durable than the plastic push pins.
Overall Review: Makes sure to read the specs carefully to make sure you get the right brackets. The 5363 brackets look very similar to these ones but each one is compatible with different heat sinks.
A+

Pros: Woa woa woa....Mushkin may not be a well known brand of RAM but it is very high quality. There is no gamble going with Mushkin RAM, it is well known solid RAM.
Cons: Zero.
Overall Review: Using this in my Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R and i7-930 and works perfectly. Haven't OC'd yet because I am waiting for a CPU cooler but reviews say that it OCs pretty stable.
Update

Pros: Very easy setup. Looks nice.
Cons: At first it was running smooth. A couple of days into it, my wifi started acting up. My internet would just hang and then eventually time out and not connect. My wireless signal is always good and stays connected but my internet just cuts off. At first it was about once every 2 hours now it happens within a minute of connecting. I am running on an IBM notebook and strangely, my wife's Macbook NEVER experiences this...even sitting right next to me surfing the web. I have a wireless connection at work and it NEVER does this so I know it has something to do with this router.
Overall Review: I cannot stay connected to my wifi for more than 5 minutes at a time before I have to disable my wireless through windows and reset. I am on Firmware 3.0.02 so it is up to date. I don't know why my wife's macbook never has a drop so there has to be something fiddly with the firmware on this thing that makes it pick on certain computers.
