A tablet that will put the overpriced IPAD2 to shame!
Pros: * Very light and portable * 3.1 update available as of 1/6/2011 * Good battery life * Very responsive * Priced very competitively * Eggcellent viewing angle
Cons: * screen is a fingerprint magnet * a few minor quirks in the OS which needs to be worked out * does not have a good case available in the market yet (as of 6/1/2011)
Overall Review: Apple Fan boys/gals should be glad with the availability of TF. This tablet is going to give ipad a run for the money and Apple will eventually be forced to lower their prices to stay competitive. Diehard Apple fans are going to remain loyal to their brand. However, those of you who have been pinched in the wallet by Apple continuously will like this tablet. With expandable storage via the Micro SD and USB connection via the optional keyboard, this tablet gives you the flexibility to expand your storage and external hardware uses. Overall, this tablet is the best bang for the buck in the market currently...
Do NOT order from these people. It's been over two weeks and I have yet to received it.
Pros: I wish I could say something good, but I have nothing in my hands to talk about...
Cons: Extremely slow shipping.
Overall Review: stay away!
New firmware v1.18 breaks WISP
Pros: I've had the BR-6258n for a few months. I have tested the WISP a couple of times, connecting it to my home WiFi and also my work WiFi. It works very well, and I did not have any issues. Yesterday, I visited Edimax's website and saw there was a new firmware update. My current version is 1.14 and the new firmware is 1.18. I downloaded the firmware and updated the device. After the update, I was not able to use the WISP anymore. Each time I configure the WISP and click apply, the router reboots and goes back to Dynamic IP setting. I even reset the router to factor default and re-configured WISP, but I still did not have Internet connection. I e-mailed tech support, but have yet to get a response. I decided to downgrade back to v1.14. As soon as I did that, I was able to setup WISP again.
Cons: New firmware is flaky and support not that responsive.
