MSI GE Series - 17.3" - Intel Core i7-3630QM - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M - 8GB Memory DDR3 1600 - - Windows 8 (9S7-175611-213 )

Pros: GE70 runs quiet, fits well onto 17" cooling stands, GTX660M video card handles most games I've thrown at it on high-ultra settings. The button for extra cooling from the laptop itself is nice when editing videos or playing graphics intensive games. Steel series keyboard is very nice but the shift key is about half the size of most other keyboards I've used. Threw me off at first but I've gotten used to it. The laptop itself is very light, skinny, and easily taken apart to upgrade (RAM, SSD bay, and HDD bay are all pretty straightforward). The sound also sounds better IMO than a MacBook and you can hear to sound move from left to right if you are playing games. Also takes a little getting used to. Overall, so far I'd definitely recommend the GE70.

Cons: The reason I took off 2 eggs is because my GE70 came in a large box almost 6 times the size of the actual laptop box. That would be totally fine if there was some kind of buffering inside. There was nothing. Just 2 pieces of paper thin brown paper. I wouldn't care about something like that, except I paid $1,200. That's alot of space for a $1,200 piece of hardware to rattle around or fall down in. Then the next day I bought a backpack, cooling stand, and got a free wireless adapter thing. It came bubble wrapped and the whole box had packing peanuts. Am I missing something here Newegg?? Are your packing people okay? Anyway, that being said... The black case attracts dust easily. I haven't had it for more than a month and it's pretty much grown a beard. Nothing a little canned air can't help though. Also, when I put a CD for the first time into the optical drive it was making noise from running hard and made the drive itself shake. Don't know if this is just mine though...

Overall Review: Overall very easy to get used to and user friendly. Looks sick. Strong under the hood. good value for price. Good cooling and so far MSI has much enter customer service than ASUS.
