Great GPU. Solid build quality and cooling.
Pros: High quality product Cooling solution more than adequate OCs quite nicely Single 8-pin pwr connection
Cons: Newegg scalping the price of these cards above MSRP is pretty disgusting.
Overall Review: Would recommend, would buy another if possible.
Seemingly solid PSU, great price for Wattage
Pros: Pros: 1. Obviously the price is right on this PSU for anyone needing higher power delivery for a mid-high mid range builds. 2. Very compact in size, will easily fit into all cases I would think. Even those with the Drive cages at the bottom near PSU. 3. May or may not be a positive for you, but I appreciate the entirely black cables.
Cons: Only have one major gripe: The PSU only comes with 2x 4+4 CPU PCIE Cables, and 2x 6+2 PCIE Cables. Granted the 2 6+2 are of course split, the PSU itself has 5 indivdual PCIE slots on it, 2 for CPU of course, and 3 PCIE for GPU. This is very odd that a manufacturer wouldn't supply the same amount of cables as the PSU has slots. I have reached out to Gigabyte regarding this and was referred to their RMA/Customer service department to find out what will happen regarding this.
Overall Review: Solid PSU. If you don't have a GPU that requires 3 individual PCIE connections (IE: Higher end RTX 3080/90 Models) then this will do just fine. Hopefully Gigabyte makes a change regarding the lack of cables. Took one egg off for the cable issue.
AORUS Master RTX 3080 10/31/2020
Pros: 1. Thermals are amazing, one of the top performing cards in that aspect. 2. Looks fantastic aesthetically. 3. Cooling design allows for air flow over the entire heatsink. 4. (Gimmicky but still cool) LCD screen for monitoring temp etc. 5. Steadily holds @ 2.1GHZ Boost clock when OC'd.
Cons: 1. Card is absolutely enormous. 2. Card is very heavy, expect some GPU sag. Highly recommend getting a GPU Support bracket. 3. 6x POSCAP array. At this price point it should be an array of 6x MLCC sets. Quite disappointing.
Overall Review: Other than the capacitor setup, I can't really complain about much else. It is quite large, even for a partner card - but nothing that isn't solved with a GPU Support bracket. I saw some reviews noting that the LCD screen on the side of the card did not come with a protective plastic film. I was happy to see that Gigabyte took note of this and made an appropriate change as my card came with almost every surface other than the backplate with protective film. All in all, good card. But certainly could be better at this price point.
