Options galore and then some.

ASUS CROSSHAIR AM2 NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard
ASUS CROSSHAIR AM2 NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Posted right at startup. very nice extras with power & reset switch on the board and a lit CMOS switch. Love the backlit I/O board in back. The BIOS is just massive with options. Read all the hardware without a hitch right from startup.

Cons: The board has nice spacing for the sli, but sacrifices a lot of space for everything else. With all the things this board does I expected a manual in size to rival war & peace, but was very sparse on working with the board.

Overall Review: As from some other reviews you can see that the board can be a love/hate relationship.I can see how after working with it.Make sure you check at least the warning/attention parts of the manual to avoid pitfalls such as leaving the LED switch pushed in and board not posting. Try to stay with QVL RAM,and make sure to turn off hd audio if using a pci soundcard.I dotted my i's and crossed my t's and it works great. SPEC:amdx2 4000+ 2.0G oc'd to 2.6,corsair xms2GB ddr2 800 ram,SB x-fi 7.1 sndcrd, evga 7950gt ko in sli,WD raptor 150GB 10,00rpm HD,Silverstone 650w PSU.

Most Critical Review

Good with a few glitches

LG WH10LS30 10X Blu-ray Burner - LightScribe Support - Bulk - OEM
LG WH10LS30 10X Blu-ray Burner - LightScribe Support - Bulk - OEM

Pros: The drive reads discs quickly when it recognizes them. Also a good burner too for cd, dvd and data. I have not had a chance to burn a blu-ray disc yet so cannot report on that. Has a nice asthetic look with the silver bar in across the bottom.

Cons: The drive I have has hiccups on recognizing a disc when I put it in the drive. Sometimes it comes right up and I can access the disc in windows 7 or Cyberlink powerdvd10. Other times I have a disc in there and it just sits in the drive and my pc still asks me to insert a disk in drive E. Haven't figured out why it happens. I could put in my avatar blu-ray today and it will act like nothing is in the drive and the next day play it fine 10 times in a row. Same with game discs and music cd's.

Overall Review: I'm just not sure if the problems lie with the drive itself and it's lasers picking up the disc data or if it's a communication problem between the drive and my software. Till I can get a definitive answer on that I'll have to stick to my 3 egg rating instead of giving it a 4

Pioneer has yet to fail me!

Pioneer VSX-1120-K 7.1-Channel 3-D Ready A/V Receiver
Pioneer VSX-1120-K 7.1-Channel 3-D Ready A/V Receiver

Pros: Great sound. The sound processors are top notch from the hd of my sound of my bluray all the way to the sound from the last of my rare vhs tape collection it's control and balance is fantastic (after calibration of course). The video is also great and sending my analog connections through the hdmi input gives my old flat video tapes new life and the pass through from by bd player to the hd television makes sure it goes from source to source with mininmal tampering.

Cons: Nothing. my one minor quibble is you can control the light intensity on your graphic panel on the reciever but it doesn' t work for the blue power light and the inicator lights on the reciever which I feel are a little too bright.

Overall Review: I have this replacing an old pioneer vsx-509s that I have had for 10 years and was an amazing mid-range reciever. And this new one blows the doors off that one and anything new that I have listened to from other manufacturers. I love it!

Worked on first try

ASUS RT-N10 802.11b/g/n Wireless Router up to 150Mbps/ 10/100 Mbps Ethernet Port x4
ASUS RT-N10 802.11b/g/n Wireless Router up to 150Mbps/ 10/100 Mbps Ethernet Port x4

Pros: Easy to install and setup. Has a Graphical User Interface that you first access when you connect it and click on your internet browser. It self sets up and has you fill in the blanks for your wireless access security and ready to go. Good wireless range.

Cons: none so far. just had it for a week and a half and no hiccups or dropped connections.

Overall Review: I bought this for a quick wireless hookup for a netbook I just bought my wife. My PC and Xbox 360 are hardlined into it and all is well. My house is a long L-shaped ranch and was worried about signal range. I have the router at one end but my wife uses her netbook in the living room at the opposite end of the house. She gets two bars on the netbook and no interference or drops. Also when you first connect the router You MUST use LAN4 port to start.I ignored the instructions and put my cable into port 1 and was wondering why the GUI was not coming up in Explorer when the picture in the instuctions is clearly showing me to put it into port 4.Oh well, you can't fix stupid. Otherwise this is a great basic router to use and can't beat the price for what it gives you.

A Good Upgrade from Microsoft

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders

Pros: The changes to the desktop features are a welcome one. I like how the taskbar is more functional and fluid. Changes on how to manuver and handle my windowed content is improved also. Nothing really groundbreaking in the new OS just changes of convienence more than anything else.

Cons: Of course like from xp to vista and now to 7 the menus and points of access are kind of shuffled around again. So it's a few days of saying to yourself " where did they move this function to now?"

Overall Review: It's not a radical change to the windows system. I bought it because I just expanded my memory past 4 gig and wanted a 64-bit system to access it. What they really worked on was making your daily dealings with the main desktop interface more user friendly and customizable.
