Hard to beat, if you want to pay for it
Pros: I have several of these webcams setup in conference rooms on top of wall-mounted monitors for Skype, Webex, Google Hangouts, etc. The image quality is worlds better than the previous generations (910, 920). The 90-degree filed of view is great, even when covering a conference table from the side. For longer tables, the resolution is high enough to use the digital zoom with little loss of quality. The built-in h264 encoding does take a load off your CPU while still delivering smooth HD video with low powered CPUs and integrated video. Audio is very good within 15 feet, but won't capture everyone at a long table. Not really the fault of the device, but I wish it had some kind of "long distance/quiet talker mode."
Cons: Previous versions of the camera shipped with software that let you pan/tilt/zoom/focus. This camera installs correctly if you just plug it in, but you have to download the little control app from the Logitech website. Logitech webcams have a reputation for poor autofocus at longer range and this camera is no exception. Great within 10 feet, poor after that. I ended up turning off auto-focus and manually setting infinity focus. That worked significantly better for my rooms. The MSRP for these is steep. If you can find it sub $100, jump on it. Otherwise, it's hard to justify the cost.
