GENERIC 11W3-10206 6 in. 20-Pin Motherboard Cable to 24-Pin Power Supply ATX Converter
GENERIC 11W3-10206 6 in. 20-Pin Motherboard Cable to 24-Pin Power Supply ATX Converter

Comments: It may not be needed for some motherboards, but if your MB has capacitors right next to the power plug, a 24-pin won't fit.

It works, but not optimally

BYTECC Bracket-252K 2.5" Dual HDD/SSD Screwless Bracket For 3.5" Drive Bay - Black
BYTECC Bracket-252K 2.5" Dual HDD/SSD Screwless Bracket For 3.5" Drive Bay - Black

Pros: It fits two SSDs into a single 3.5 slot.

Cons: Whoever designed this wasn't thinking straight. The SSDs are mounted 180 degrees from each other. You'd think that wouldn't be a problem, just flip the drive over, but since the screw holes are closer to one edge than the other, the little pegs that hold the SSD in place don't line up if you flip one of the drives to match the other. If you take a dremel and file off the plastic ledge that forces you to mount it one way, then the drive fits fine, and is still shallow enough to fit in a 3.5" bay. Second complaint is the useless "handle". Dremel that off also, and reclaim some internal space. Finally, the plastic nubs that hold it in. These I actually didn't have a problem with. Mine fit nice and tight. If I had to constantly remove and reseat the drive, maybe they'd get loose over time, but the initial click-in was satisfactory

Overall Review: With some pre-work, can make this decent. Would be better if BYTECC released a proper bracket with both SSDs facing the same direction, and no useless extruding handles.

Good stuff

ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI X16 ATX AMD Motherboard
ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI X16 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Dual ethernet, dual x16 PCI-e, the last of the high-end S939 boards.

Cons: How hard would it be to make PCI-E x16 slots that had a dead space next to them, instead of a PCI slot? If you fill this with dual-slot vid cards, you'll lose two of your PCI slots.

Overall Review: When configuring the BIOS before installing windows, don't disable serial and parallel ports even if you won't use them. You'll get a BSOD about ACPI support from Windows.
