Pros: I had an Airnet PCMCIA adapter in my old windows 98 laptop, in an automated daily setup, and it messed up the autorestart and other things randomly. This Encore adapter has been rock solid in this older win 98 setup.

Cons: No cons at this time. The range appears to be good, but I have not really tested it.

Pros: Low cost, plays my HD movies, mkv, avi, mpg etc.

Cons: The old game Return to Castle Wolfenstein won't even start using this card, it crashes. Golly, I can put that game on almost every computer! More important, my big Vizio is not waked up by this card when coming out of standby. So, I'm returning it.

Overall Review: Maybe there will be a driver update to fix these things, but I want it to work now!

Pros: Low Price, lots of long connectors.

Cons: Loud. Just plain LOUD. I didn't test them when they arrived, now I'm stuck with them. I can't put them in a customer's computer. Way too loud. Did I say that the fans are LOUD ?

Overall Review: The low price doesn't justify being LOUD. Maybe 10 years ago, but not now.

Pros: It's a fine card.

Cons: None, I did a review a few days ago, and I was wrong. I thought the problems that I described...Not able to play an older game, and coming out of standby, were because of the card, but they are not, they are problems with my XPS system.

Overall Review: Sorry about that, the card works fine in another machine.

Pros: Works fine, great signal strength, works with XP wireless zero config, just select use XP wireless, and delete the utility from xp startup folder. Very low price.

Cons: Does it work with vista, or w7? I don't really care.

Overall Review: Where's my breakfast?

Pros: I have tried several other cards on older computers, but this one is the best. Drivers are built in to XP, and on a older P4 machine with an older PCI bus, it gave it true USB 2.0 functionality, where others have failed.

Cons: None, could be cheaper I guess.

Overall Review: I hope I get a big screen TV for Christmas.
