Nicely made, works well

GIGABYTE GA-M59SLI-S5 AM2 NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-M59SLI-S5 AM2 NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Since I have owned a Gigabyte board for 5 years that is still kickin, I figured I'd be the first to give this thing a shot without any reviews, I never had a problem with my other Gigabyte purchases. I am certainly glad I did, this board was easy to work with, its very quiet, all the drivers that come with it work for Windows XP, the 2 ethernet ports are blazing fast, good BIOS features, memory can be overclocked, the CD comes with good overclocking/monitoring tools for the CPU and GPU, it comes with plenty of cables. Even the onboard sound is pretty good. The directions with this board point out what you need to know clear and concise, and even the pin bases for some stuff are color coded so it just reinforces what you are looking at on paper making it easy to understand for anyone. Overall the chipset on this thing seems great for gaming just like it should be, and also great at helping AMD with heavy multitasking. Worth the money!

Cons: The only thing I noticed if I had to pick at something, was the onboard sound rarely makes a faint beep like interference noise at first move of the mouse.

Overall Review: If you are shopping for an AMD, this should be in your list of finalists, it certainly met my expectations. I am using Using 2GB of OCZ Gold Series PC5400 RAM, 4200+ CPU, Dual GeForce 7950 GPU 1GB, and a 1000W PSU. Windows XP Professional is the current OS I am running.

Heavy duty

GIGABYTE 3D AURORA GZ-FSCA1-ATB Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case
GIGABYTE 3D AURORA GZ-FSCA1-ATB Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Solid construction, nice amount of space to work, good airflow, mostly metal construction, side door opens easily and is not the usual sliding hook panel. I have a massive 1000W PSU that fits right in this case, its about double the length of your standard PSU just to givea little insight.

Cons: None

Overall Review: The front door on this thing could probably take a bullet and live to tell the tale, hehe.

Good budget case

APEVIA X-Dreamer II ATXB4KLW-BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 420W Power Supply
APEVIA X-Dreamer II ATXB4KLW-BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 420W Power Supply

Pros: Looks nice for the money, I have owned this case for almost two years and everything still works on it, the stock fans and lights, I never used the PSU that came with it. Looks killer in a dark room.

Cons: Sharp thin sheet metal construction, the PSU is junk I scrapped that garbage right away and bought a good one.

Overall Review: If you want a case that looks nice at low cost, then buy this case, I just built a new PC but still have the old build with this case still kickin. Junk the PSU on this case or any other that comes with a PSU at a low cost, seriously, what can you really expect when you pay roughly $xx for a case and a PSU is included. Do the right thing and buy a good PSU for any build, avoid headaches, and possible damage to the core components of your system.

Good gaming and multi-tasking

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ - Athlon 64 X2 Windsor Dual-Core 2.2 GHz Socket AM2 89W Processor - ADA4200CUBOX

Pros: Since I spent so much on my other components in my PC I was looking for something that had good bang for the buck. I am happy with the performance of this CPU for gaming and heavy multitasking. Actually better than expected.

Cons: None

Overall Review: If you don't want to pay a ridiculous fortune and still get a great CPU, I would recommend it. The processors near the top of the ladder are always over priced just because its the "best", next year those same CPUs will be half the price, if not less. Not worth it IMO, but this one is.

Top Quality, Top Dollar

PC Power and Cooling Turbo-Cool 1KW-Quad SLI T1KW-4E 1000W Continuous @ 50°C EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: You get what you pay for, and when you take it out of the box and install it, you'll feel better about paying this much for a PSU, not 100% better, but at least better. :P It comes with all the voltage tests for your PSU. Plenty of rails to plug tons of periphreals and other extras into. Room to expand quite possibly beyond the limits of most other hardware.

Cons: Cost, other than that, none.

Overall Review: I never paid so much for a PSU, but if you are serious about powering your PC the right way, then this is it.

Good

OCZ Gold Series 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 667 (PC2 5400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model OCZ26672048ELDCGE-K
OCZ Gold Series 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 667 (PC2 5400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model OCZ26672048ELDCGE-K

Pros: Works well with Gigabyte GA-M59SLI-S5 Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 590 motherboard. Every bit of memory reconginozed on the POST. Its not on Gigabyte's support list, but it works with that board.

Cons: None.
