This is well working device

ASRock Industrial NUC BOX-1135G7 Fanned BOX Barebone (Include Intel 11th Gen CPU)
ASRock Industrial NUC BOX-1135G7 Fanned BOX Barebone (Include Intel 11th Gen CPU)

Pros: Powerful enough to manage all my multitasking ( I am not a gamer but have multiple programs running simultaneously); Has two Thunderbolt 4 ports ( see screenshot); Well built and easy to assemble/disassemble ( not sure what other reviewers had problem with) Has HDMI and DP ports

Cons: Runs hot - even with a low load but this can be addressed ( see images of my solution to deal with it); When it runs hot - unit own built-in fan is a little bit noisy ( again, I addressed this with my own cooling solution :-)) Not sure why in addition to 2.5 Gbe LAN port it also has second - 1 Gbe LAN port ( would be interested to hear from the manufacturer - what was the reasoning for that). In my opinion, this space could be used for additional USB 3.2 port Requires to get drivers from the "ASRock industrial" website and Intel website - Windows 10 doesn't find all required drivers on its own. All mentioned above took one egg out of 5 eggs rating.

Overall Review: Overall, I am happy with this NUC - I have Intel i5 with 32 GB RAM. However, this has been only one week since I bought and start using it - so, if something may come up - I would post additional review. During the initial setup had to get latest BIOS (rev 1.2) as well as a number of drivers from "ASRock industrial" website and a few other drivers - from the Intel website ( but those who buy barebone PCs should know that it does require some work of their own). My main concern was that it was running hot ( at 80 degrees Celsius and above ) even with no load or low load and internal fan was producing noticeable noise. I looked on YouTube and elsewhere but none of the offered cooling suggestion looked satisfactory. Thus, on my own, found and implemented a very simple solution (see images) - USB fan by Evercool. I plugged it into NUC USB port, mounted NUC vertically ( this way cool air from the fan passes through the NUC vents with no obstruction) and temperatures now always within 50-60 degrees Celsius. USB fan is very quiet and NUC internal fan is not kicked in anymore. When PC is shut down - it, of course, turns USB fan off as well. As I already mentioned, it would be nice to have more USB 3.2 ports - that's why you can see on the pictures that I use Anker USB-C hub.
