Pros: Once configured correctly, they work fine.

Cons: Lack of documentation. The only instruction included is an illustration of how to insert each DIMM into a slot. Now I realize that the BIOS will vary by motherboard, but this was NOT a plug n' play install. I've assembled many PCs in the past, but it's been a few years. The product description and packaging do not state that the timings and voltage may have to be set manually. All 6 gb would not work without the correct settings. Scouring the EVGA and OCZ forums yielded the following settings with an EVGA 132-BL-E758-A1 LGA 1366 Intel X58 motherboard. Memory Feature Memory Frequency 1600 mhz ( 2:12 ) tCL Setting ( 8 ) tRCD Setting ( 8 ) tRP Setting ( 8 ) tRAS Setting ( 24 ) Voltage Control CPU VTT ( +150mv ) DIMM Voltage ( 1.65v ) MEM LOW GAP = 3 GB <--- This was key Again, this would not be obvious to anyone installing RAM for the first time in several years or other first-timers. It took some time to discover the MEM LOW GAP setting need to be changed

Overall Review: The sticks are shiny and gold. They could serve well as prop harmonicas or cheap neck jewelery.

Pros: Works fine with Vista.

Cons: I just got off the phone with Encore support. They politely told me that this model adapter is not yet compatible with Windows 7. Drivers are not available as of 10/30/2009. I must lower my review to one star because my desktop with the Encore card can no longer access the Internet.

Overall Review: At least support called me with the bad news.
