This is more like it!

Pros: Excellent temps, quiet, OC'd performance close to my old GTX295 (15795 3dMark Vantage gpu score at 775MHz core to match my 15498 CPU score [Q9550]!) with waaaayyy less power consumption and all the DX11, tessellation, etc., bells and whistles for futureproofing.
Cons: Longer than reference (~10") with power sockets in the back of the card. I knew this going in and have a large NZXT aluminum full tower, but for those of you counting on 9.5" of clearance being enough, it's not. More like 10.5" is needed. Do your research.
Overall Review: The 'Egg came through on a return of the failed-attempt-at-a-card otherwise known as the HD 5830. Took advantage of the OCZ Diesel 8GB USB drive offer, too! If you are considering the 5830, deal with your upgrade lust long enough to save up an additional $50 for a 5850. You won't be sorry.
Worked well for a while

Pros: Benched at ~19K in 3Dmark06 at stock settings. Quiet. Very cool running.
Cons: Would only OC to 830 before locking up in 3Dmark06, so I went back to stock settings. After 41 days, the card began artifacting in games as simple as NHL 09. I re-seated it, ran Sweeper in safe mode, tried different Catalyst drivers up to the newest ones. No change. Eventually, from trying to reinstall the card twice, my XP x64 boot sector got corrupted. Was planning on installing my Win7 Pro after a big audio project, anyway, so no biggie for me (all files backed up), but would have been an issue for most users.
Overall Review: There has been speculation that the 5830 is an original B-stock archetectured 5870, with the bad shaders and ROP's laser-cut on the GPU with additional ones cut down to create a uniform "5830" archetecture. Some people have had great success with this card, others have had numerous problems. Seems to be luck of the Lot# draw. Newegg RMA'd for store credit, which is why I gave 2 eggs rather than only one. They always treat me and the people I recommend to them right! Using the credit towards a Sapphire HD 5850. Sapphire is still a great ATI brand. Not their fault (ATI's rather), from what I've read. The 5830 should have existed as it's own ATI release rather than a re-hash to fill a niche between the 5770 and 5850. ATI should have rethought this one.
Great board. Period.

Pros: Smaller than my old P5Q-Deluxe. Heat sinks more than adequate for overclocking. Easy install for all components all-around. Not sure what some people are complaining about with the RAM install/recognition (*see below).
Cons: None to speak of.
Overall Review: After reading some of the negative reviews, I was a bit weary but pulled the trigger anyway. Glad I did. 4 months ownership and not a hitch. 12G 1600 RAM and i7 960 OC'd to 4012mHz easy peasy. Folding at -smp 8 with temps no higher than 73c at 72F ambient temp on air. And for all of you complaining about RAM not being recognized - turn down your overclock and pump more voltage into your DIMMs. Or buy low voltage RAM (1.25v) like I did. Your processor in tandem with Windows 7 is only using what it can still deem stable. This is user error, not system/mobo error.
What ships first?

Pros: The product was fine - server farm-fresh, but I ordered another item first (*see cons).
Cons: I ordered the chickens first... or wait, did I? I can't for the life of me figure out which shipped first...
Overall Review: A bit difficult to reinstall into the "motherboard" once uninstalled. Lots of warning clucks and sharp edges. Was VERY compatible with the rest of my hard-boiled-ware, though! And don't get me started on the overclucking capabilities! C*ck-a-doodle-do yourself a favor and "lay" your hands on these!
Does what it should

Pros: Recognized quickly by my system. Transfer rate is fast for a flash drive. To those who mentioned a slow transfer rate, it's your system, not the stick, unless the stick is specifically faulty in some way.
Cons: Not really a con, but this thing is tiny with a tiny clear cap. Sure I will lose the cap eventually, LOL.
Overall Review: My system: NZXT Al full tower; Q9550 @ 3.825G; 4G PC9600 @1200M; ASUS P5Q-Deluxe; XFX HD 5850; VRaptor 150G (primary); EMU 1820m; Acer 22" 1680x1050 (primary); 7 Pro x64.
Great deal

Pros: Does what it says. Solid cable. Great value.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: Amazing how much more expensive a "value" level cable can be at retailers like Best Buy, etc.
