Wow.

Intel Celeron G530 - Celeron Sandy Bridge Dual-Core 2.4 GHz LGA 1155 65W Intel HD Graphics Desktop Processor - BX80623G530
Intel Celeron G530 - Celeron Sandy Bridge Dual-Core 2.4 GHz LGA 1155 65W Intel HD Graphics Desktop Processor - BX80623G530

Pros: I only bought this processor as a placeholder while I await the Ivy Bridge i7 3770k processor. I have an XFX Radeon 7970 BE video card, and I am still able to game Skyrim on Ultra 1080p, with only minimal frame drop. Impressive for a 50 dollar CPU. This thing beats my old Core 2 Duo, and loads my Netbeans projects much quicker than my 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo. Also, very impressed by this. Battlefield 3 is CPU bottlenecked like crazy, but I can still enable most eye candy and not lose too many frames.

Cons: Not free? Doesn't make me a sandwich? Seriously, no cons for this cheap yet capable processor.

Overall Review: System Specs: CPU: Celeron G530 (soon to be replaced by i7 3770k) VIDEO CARD: XFX Radeon HD 7970 Black Edition MOTHERBOARD: GIGABYTE GA-Z68AP-D3(R2.0) HDD: Mushkin Enhanced Chronos SATA 3 - 120GB SSD RAM: 16 GB DDR3-1600 CASE: NORCO RPC-470 Black 4U Rackmount Server Case

Defective 3060 + Gigabyte's bad RMA reputation = I bought a lemon

GIGABYTE AERO 15 OLED KD - 15.6" UHD 4K AMOLED, Intel Core i7 11th Gen 11800H, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, 6GB GDDR6, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Win10 Pro, Creator & Gaming Laptop (AERO 15 OLED KD-72US623SP)
GIGABYTE AERO 15 OLED KD - 15.6" UHD 4K AMOLED, Intel Core i7 11th Gen 11800H, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, 6GB GDDR6, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Win10 Pro, Creator & Gaming Laptop (AERO 15 OLED KD-72US623SP)

Pros: Beautiful 4k OLED panel A new 8c/16t Intel CPU that isn't on 14nm! Big keyboard + good trackpad PCI-E 4 storage + room for a second PCI-E 3 NVMe drive Thunderbolt 4 Lightweight and thin Runs relatively cool even on full load Near max TDP for CPU/GPU configuration

Cons: The RTX 3060 was defective, displaying color splotches and other artifacts and visual glitches. This only occurs at 4k or 1440p resolution (including VR.) Visual artifacts are mostly gone at 1080p resolution and below. Webcam placement is bad. Speakers are a little weaker than I'd like.

Overall Review: I spotted the issues on the first game I tried and it is repeatable in every game at 4k and most games at 1440p. The RTX 3060's glitches are due to a graphics memory issue (which is why things don't crash, just look wrong.) From my testing, I've confirmed this by running some tests using heavy CUDA workloads. On the desktop RTX 2060 I get an error rate of about 0.1% but on this defective RTX 3060 mobile I get errors rates that fluctuate between 5% to 15%. Normally, I'd send this laptop back immediately, but the seller made it clear that the laptop had to be in brand new condition to return it. Unfortunately, when I got the laptop, I tried everything out except the 3060 and it all seemed fine. So at work I upgraded the ram from 16GB to 32GB and added a 2nd NVMe drive, so it was no longer in "new" condition. Then I took the laptop home and installed Steam on it and some games and discovered that the 3060 was broken. Okay, so I can't send it back to the seller, but surely the 1 year Gigabyte has me covered. I can just send it back to Gigabyte and get it fixed, right? Well, if my experience had happened a month earlier, that's exactly what I would have done. However, Gigabyte is currently going through a scandal with selling exploding power supplies through this site, and part of the community feedback from this experience has been that Gigabyte loses a lot of RMAs. So I don't trust Gigabyte enough to send them this expensive brand new laptop that they apparently didn't do quality control on. I feel like if I did send it to them, at best they would send me back the same broken defective laptop and waste more of my time and money and at worst would just "lose" it completely. Gigabyte needs to do some serious damage control, because at this point I've removed them from our company's "approved hardware vendor" list. I guess that's what I get for a buying a Gigabyte laptop.

Cheap, thick magnets, good seal, fine mesh

120mm Fan Dust Filter Mesh 4.72inch Magnetic Frame PVC PC Computer Case Fan Dust Mesh Cover Grills Black 5-Pack
120mm Fan Dust Filter Mesh 4.72inch Magnetic Frame PVC PC Computer Case Fan Dust Mesh Cover Grills Black 5-Pack

Pros: These are near perfect. I don't think there is much more to improve. Also, love that this is a 5 pack. Insanely good value considering a few years ago I was paying hundreds of dollars for good dust filters.

Overall Review: If you want dust filters for 120mm fans, here you go. I have 3 of these on the front of 4 unit rackmount server, works perfectly. Have another 2 on the top of an ATX case. They fit perfectly to cover the two 120mm fans at the top of the case.

E-waste. Unable to keep a mouse and keyboard on consistently.

Rybozen USB Switch Selector, KM Switch Adapter for 4 PC Sharing 3 USB Devices, One-Button Swapping Box Hub for Keyboard, Mouse, Scanner, Printer, Computer, with 4 USB Cables

Pros: - Small price - Physically exists

Cons: I plugged in a usb keyboard and usb mouse and connected the device to 4 computers via USB. Regardless of which keyboard or mouse I used or which of the 4 computers I connected to, the keyboard and mouse would randomly power down for up to 30 seconds before restoring power.

Overall Review: This thing should have had a power supply. Even 4 USB ports from 4 different computers couldn't give this box enough juice to keep a keyboard and mouse powered.

I ordered 4 of these and have had 0 problems so far

Pros: 16TB of space each 512MB cache Sometimes on sale for a decent percentage off

Cons: Comes in barebones OEM packaging. I ordered 2 at full price.

Overall Review: 4 is a small sample size, but I like these enough to keep buying them and also to rate it 5 eggs.

Cons: Did not come with original motherboard box, but instead a generic box. No matter how nicely I asked, this motherboard refused to make me a sandwich.

Overall Review: I paired this refurb motherboard with all new parts: CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950x (Noctua NH-U9S cooler) GPU: ASRock Radeon RX 6900 XT PHANTOM GAMING D RAM: 64GB G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 GT 1000W PSU CASE: Rosewill RSV-L4500U 4U Server Chassis Rackmount Case STORAGE: 64TB HDD (4x16TB) Toshiba 16TB Enterprise HDD SATA 6.0Gb/s 512e I replaced the stock case fans with: 6x 120mm Noctua NF-P12 redux-1300 2x 80mm Noctua NF-R8 redux-1200
