Antec Performance One P190+1200 Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 650W+550W = Total 1200W Power Supply
Antec Performance One P190+1200 Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 650W+550W = Total 1200W Power Supply

Pros: If there's ever been a situation where the old adage "you get what you pay for" comes into play, it's this case. I've been using Antec Cases for about 6 years. I was skeptical about whether this case could possibly be worth the money, well so far it's been worth every penny. It's VERY quiet (I've got the 200 MM side fan set on Medium and the dual 140's and 120's set on High) at the moment. CPU temp is running between 12 and 18 degrees (F) above room temp and MOBO is running between 7 and 9 degrees (F) above room temp. The case is extremely roomy, well constructed (it's like a tank) and putting Drives and HD in the bays is a snap. The edges are all rolled so there is minimal chance you'll cut yourself on an edge working inside the case. I've heard some people found the side fan to be problematic (sticking into the case) but everything I put in the box went in no problem with plenty of clearance.

Cons: This case is VERY heavy (50+ Pounds empty). If you have a bad back or other condition that limits your ability to pick up and maneuver heavy objects, this case might be one to avoid. Also, it's not "dainty" at all. This is a big time "macho" server case and takes up a good chunk of space. To keep all your connectors and wires clear of the fans you have to be ready to use ties (zip or the velcro kind) to bundle everything and keep it out of the way......you won't get it right the first time (unless you're either very good or really lucky) but it took me about 5 minutes to adjust the placement of the wires to keep everything clear and out of the way.

Overall Review: To my mind well worth the money....I put the following in the case (with room to spare): ASUS P5B Deluxe LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard ATI 100-437808 Radeon X1650PRO 512MB GDDR2 PCI Express x16 Video Card ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro 92mm CPU Cooler Along with two hard drives, two sticks of RAM and two DVD Burners. The description of this product does NOT do it justice, nor does the data on the Antec website. To call this a "next generation" from Antec is like comparing apples to oranges. This product (to me anyway) seems more like a quantum leap for Antec. Highly recommend.

Good Monitor

ViewSonic X Series VX924 19" SXGA 1280 x 1024 D-Sub, DVI-D LCD Monitor
ViewSonic X Series VX924 19" SXGA 1280 x 1024 D-Sub, DVI-D LCD Monitor

Comments: In a nutshell, I just dove into the LCD market and after reading many reviews (and many trips to stores to compare monitors/manufactuers side by side) settled on this monitor. So far I have to say I'm extremely impressed. It came packaged very well, no damage, easy to install and up and running flawlessly in under 3 minutes. Takes some patience to get the colors/brightness exactly like you'll like them, but well worth the effort. Color is excellent, image is extremely crisp. I was using a 19 Inch CRT (Viewsonic A91f+) and there is no comparison at all. 2 Notes; some reviewers are having problems with being able to see/read items/text with the 1280 x 1024 resolution. Remember that you can adjust your DPI from the standard 96 to the larger 120 by using Control Panel, Display, Settings, Advanced. That should do the trick. Also, this monitor DOES come with a DVI cable (though it's not mentioned in the description or pictured) so there is no need to order a DVI cable when you select this monitor. I've been shopping New Egg for more than two years and unless the monitor goes belly up on me, this will rank as one of the highest value purchases I've ever made from the site. A solid 5 stars, without hesitation. Am thinking about buying a second one for my wife's PC. She took one look at the monitor as I was gaming and just said "you suck" so I think that's a pretty profound statement on this monitor being on a different level than you can usually get in this price range.
