Get BtS instead

Pros: Amazing expansion. Improves the game in a lot of different ways.
Cons: Everything in Warlords is included in Beyond the Sword except for the scenarios. If you haven't purchased either expansion yet, pass this one up and get Beyond the Sword instead unless you really want those scenarios.
Overall Review: Sid Meier rules.
Warning: IOH overheats

Pros: Update: still a good board with great features for the price
Cons: I'm getting high IOH temperatures (in the 70s Celsius idle, hits well into the 80s under load). After doing a bit of research, many have been reporting similar problems. The response they get from MSI is generally "It's less than 100 deg. Celsius, so you're fine." People with this problem were able to correct it just by taking off the IOH heatsink, scraping away the gunk, then applying a bit of thermal paste. After the paste sets in 3 days or so, they report temps around 40 deg. C. Others opted to replace the chipset heatsinks with 3rd party aftermarket heatsinks. Another option is getting a spot-cooling fan (can get temps down below 60 deg. C).
Overall Review: MSI may very well be right that people like me will be fine as long as the operating temp of the IOH remains below 100 deg. C, but I'm concerned about long term stability. Not all MSI X58 platinum/pro boards are experiencing this issue, and other than the IOH temps, this is an excellent board: stable and feature-packed.
Intermittent connections

Pros: - Fast when it works. I got 275 MBps (CrystalDiskMark) on a thumb drive, which was about the same as it got on the 3.2 gen 2 ports directly on my desktop - Power appears to be delivered on all ports, or at least on all the ports that I tried - Lots of ports - On/off switch on each port - Lights let you know when a port is on or off
Cons: - Intermittent connection. My Logitech Unifying transceiver will occasionally lose connection for a couple of seconds. Thumb drives can randomly dismount while reading or writing. - Only found one port that would actually recognize thumb drives, and even that required some plugging and unplugging to get it to work. - Simply bumping the hub can cause connection issues - Low wattage, so you'll only get slow charging, although that's probably true of most USB ports on a computer
Overall Review: I would not recommend this, although to be fair, most 3.1 gen 1 or gen 2 USB hubs that I've tried have similar issues. It seems like I'm forever plugging USB devices in and out of hubs trying to find ports that actually work. Update: I'm pulling this from my desktop. No matter what port I use, USB devices occasionally just drop for no reason, which is especially problematic for wireless dongles for keyboards and mice. Rating changed from 2 to 1 star. What good is a hub that has this many connection issues? Update 2: used a different 3.2 Gen 2 USB port on the back of my computer. It seems to be more stable now, but I'm not going to put my wireless dongles back on this hub to test it. I got a SanDisk Extreme NVME portable SSD and tested the speeds again. I was able to get 964.65 megabytes per second, so the hub can at least handle 3.2 Gen 1 speeds. I don't have anything that can move data faster than 10 gigabits per second, so I've no way to test the speed of the hub beyond Gen1.
Works as a stand, no magnetic wake/sleep

Pros: Works as a stand for either portrait or landscape orientation.
Cons: No magnetic wake/sleep, so don't forget to put to sleep before closing the cover.
Overall Review: I have no idea how good or bad this is at protecting against drops.
Rugged, works well

Pros: -Does all the stuff a smartwatch should do. -Battery lasts a long time, even with ambient mode turned on.
Cons: -The screen is a little smaller than my gen1 Motorola watch. -After an update, no longer measures heart rate automatically, I presume to save battery. You will need to install an app if you want your heart rate checked regularly.
Works, stays connected

Pros: - Unlike another Bluetooth keyboard I tried, this one stays connected to my tablet, even in a location that is usually a dead zone for my devices. - It's portable, the keys have a decent feel despite the price. - It doesn't slide around the desk. - On/off switch and connect button.
Cons: None so far. Keys are a bit close together, but that's to be expected of a keyboard this side.
Overall Review: The product requires two AA batteries, which you will have to provide yourself. One of the function keys popped off, but this was due to unusually rambunctious nephews and should not be held against the manufacturer. Otherwise, this keyboard still works well after 11 months of use. Addendum: Once in a while, it sends 2 characters on a single keypress, but still nothing like the large number of repeated characters I had with the other bluetooth keyboard that I tried.
Order placed Jan 21, arrived March 9
Look, I wouldn't mind waiting this long for an order --- especially given how cheap the product was -- if I had some warning that it would take this long. I waited week after week with no new information from the tracking on the web site. It took over a month for the order to leave China, and I had no idea why it took that long. Customer service responded promptly and told me that it is normal for people to wait this long for products from this vendor. I can't fault the customer service at all, but apparently this company routinely takes this long to fill and ship orders. You have been warned. 47 days. It took 47 days from placing the order to getting it at my doorstep. I don't think I've ever had an online order take this long.
Came 5 days after order placed
And the product itself works like a charm. I couldn't be happier.
