Great Game
Pros: Fun game, with several game modes. Many of the typical button combos for special moves in non-Wii MK games, are now replaced with Wii remote/Nunchuck motions, as well as the fatalaties. Awesome multi-stage fatalaty system, TONS of characters, plus you can build your own. Lots of options, and cheesy yet really cool "Motor Kombat" racing mode, that can race up to 4 players.
Cons: Konquest mode can be a little monotonous at times, and one part in particular (Shao Kahn Statue) was TOTALLY frustrating. small issues overall though.
Overall Review: I wish there was a way of playing Konquest mode with another character. I like the Death Traps in teh various fight arenas.
Accuracy
Pros: Above reviewer is incorrect. Max wattage of the GTX295 is well less than half of what they states, closer to 1/3 of that, the real amperage it draws is 24A. Works perfectly for me with the same setup.
Cons: None I can think of other then the wiring is hard to manage.
Great Burner
Pros: Great burner. Has done everything flawlessly, ,, IF, , and that is IF, , you use decent media. Just like any other burner, cheap media make expensive coasters, like other reviewers have learned (or not). LS does come out faint on lower quality settings, it's the typical speed/quality payoff like any other LS burner.
Cons: A little spendy, , but not much really. .
Overall Review: Some software doesn't like the DL capability. Time will fix that. .
Great piece of hardware
Pros: I've had this for over a year, and I can't imagine how an entertainment center could be complete without one. This is perfect for playing music, showing pictures, and especially for movies, wether they be downloaded from the internet (there are MANY titles that have fallen into public domain), ripping from your own DVDs (this unit does NOT rip DVDs, that must be done on a computer), or made on your own digital camera/camcorder.
Cons: none really
Good, but not quite there
Pros: Easy, reliable, works great with the linktheater. Quiet, affordable.
Cons: I only saw a slight gain going from 100mbps to gigabit, the unit just isn't fast enough to realize the speed of gigabit. The unit could greatly benifit from wake on lan, or even a more flexible sleep function. As it is, the unit can only be set up with one sleep and one wake-up time, which works for every day, so it can not be set up for defferent schedules for the weekend. Also, it would be great of it would refrain from sleep if it is serving media, so it doesn't sleep in the middle of a movie and such.
Overall Review: It would also be great if this was able to be used as a webserver.
great addition!
Pros: Works simply, cleanly. The DVD player is a great addition so I don't have to put rented discs in my 400+ changer. Very few files will not work with this.
Cons: Remote is slow (actually, it is the unit itself, sinceit is also slow with my harmony 659). Also, menu layout kinda sucks, a person should be able to scroll through file/folder lists, instaed of the lame paged arrangement.
Overall Review: I am using this with a terastation, it seems many are having streaming problems, which most likely are caused by the PC they are serving with. I have not seen a single stutter from mine. I imagine that if you have a service-bloated winXP machine as a server, it will run out of resources from time to time if it is not high-end.
