Hooray EVGA

EVGA 512-P3-N865-AR GeForce 9600GT KO 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card
EVGA 512-P3-N865-AR GeForce 9600GT KO 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

Pros: Fantastic card(s). Absolutely beautiful graphics, and my fps is still teh pwnage even with everything on its highest video setting.

Cons: None. Compared to the 8800GTX, this might be a bit of an underachiever (-12% or so) but its also 20% less in price.

Overall Review: Running 2 in SLI on a 780i EVGA mobo, 2gig Corsair dominator ram, e6750 2.66GHz core duo, 850w thermaltake modular cabling psu, thermaltake armor VA8003SWA ATX full case.

superb

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 - Core 2 Duo Conroe Dual-Core 2.66 GHz LGA 775 65W Processor - BX80557E6750

Pros: sweet performance right off the bat. dual core makes looking up that quest on thottbot that much eaiser for WoW, and it handles everything i can throw at it so far.

Cons: not quad core? not free? not really complaints, imo.

Overall Review: nice cpu for the price, would highly reccomend to anyone interested in one.

CORSAIR DOMINATOR 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X2048-8500C5D
CORSAIR DOMINATOR 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X2048-8500C5D

Pros: works as advertised. havent tried oc'ing yet, but dont expect any problems. will be purchacing another 2gig when im done writing this review

Cons: kinda large with the heatsinks. really not a problem for me, as my case is enormous, but builders on a smaller scale might find it a bit cumbersome.

Overall Review: highly reccomended. not lying when i said im buying more after this review.

Beautiful mobo

EVGA 132-CK-NF78-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard
EVGA 132-CK-NF78-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: 3 16x 2.0 pcie slots! sli bridges for 2 and 3-way sli. fantastic layout and setup; very literal plug and play with this board. havent had any problems at all.

Cons: none.

Overall Review: this was my 1st build. did a lot of research in the months leading up to my build. saw this about a week before i ordered everything, and im glad i did. the user manual is incredibally helpful for a relative newbie. Evga gets a Colbert style "tip-of-the-hat" for a product well done.

Cavernous!

Thermaltake Armor Series VA8003SWA Silver ATX Full Tower Computer Case w/ 25CM Fan
Thermaltake Armor Series VA8003SWA Silver ATX Full Tower Computer Case w/ 25CM Fan

Pros: Insanely large. Immense. please feel free to add your own symonyms. Ease of assembly is fantastic, enough fans and air flow to keep almost anything you put in here cool and the ability to go watercooled if air isnt enough. Looked at cases for months before deciding on thois one, and i couldn't be a happier panda =P

Cons: not even worth detracting an egg for, but the 850W thermaltake PSU i ordered to fit in it is just a hair too big to get the support bar in place. no worries as its bolted from the back and supported by the HD tray right next to it.

Overall Review: Great for a 1st build (the room alone makes it worth the extra cash). highly reccomended to anyone planning on any kind of SLI set up; i bought 2 9600 GT's and im considering a 3rd . my concern is the psu, not case space =)
