Pros: bang for the buck, features, price, western digital technology, quiet, ps3 compatible (or so i've heard), speed 5400 rpm performs like 7200. Would've given 5 stars if not for the mislabeling.

Cons: mislabeled/confusing labeling. not 7200 rpm (but what is at this price, with this much storage) I don't think this is SAS either. In fact western digital didn't even list any SAS laptop hard drives in their products list.

Overall Review: The box and model number match the new egg site and western digital has it under the same model number as well. But when you take the actual hard drive out it'll say model: WD5000BEVT which is sold separately on newegg for a cheaper price. After double checking on other sites and scouring western digitals store and website product list, i've come to the conclusion that this is 2010-2011 version of the WD5000BEVT. The different model name on the box must be used to separate newer years/versions of the wd5000bevt. If you want this cheaper (although i'm not sure if there are any spec differences) try searching WD5000BEVT instead of WDBABC5000ANC-NRSN. Also this model number matched a SATA 3gbs on WD website, not a SAS.

Pros: I have had previous NexStar enclosures and have been very happy with the quality, ease of setup, and function. This is no different as it's a quality product. The speeds are in line with other usb 3.0 drives. The reason I highly recommend buying this specific enclosure is because I received a usb 3.0 enclosure for xmas. It was a different company and it came with a USB-B style connector on one end. The common thing about this connector is it's very sensitive and causes the drive to cut out a lot. This is exaggerated if you are given a stiff cable as well. And as you can imagine can become quite annoying when you have to try and transfer a 1gb+ file, you breathe to hard, and the drive keeps disappearing mid transfer. This drive comes with a USB-A style connector so you'll avoid this problem completely as it's much more secure. Most other drives come with the USB-B style connector. So avoid headaches and get this one!

Cons: for the price nada

Overall Review: Get a USB-A style connector and avoid the high sensitivity of the USB-B style connector. Cable has a Y to get power from two ports which is super convenient for bigger drives or just security.
