Very satisfied.

HP Laptop - B Grade EliteBook Intel Core i7-3720QM 8GB Memory 128 GB SSD 15.6" Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit 8570P
HP Laptop - B Grade EliteBook Intel Core i7-3720QM 8GB Memory 128 GB SSD 15.6" Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit 8570P

Pros: This is my first laptop I've ever owned as I've always built desktops, but the need for a good laptop finally overcame me. I didn't want to spend a fortune but wanted something that was still powerful enough to have fun with. This one definitely meets that. Strong processor that doesn't get too crazy hot, although it does eat at the battery pretty good when not plugged in. Screen is 1080p and looks great, and overall even being a "B grade" the whole laptop is in great condition. Very few nicks and bumps in the chassis and everything works as it should.

Cons: Only con to this laptop was the Chinese generic power adaptor it comes with, but it works and is at oem spec for voltage and amperage so hardly worth actually complaining about.

Overall Review: My particular laptop ended up coming with a 3740qm processor in it which is a slightly faster version of the 3720 (nice surprise bonus!) as well as a discrete amd graphics setup that well outperforms the Intel hd 4000 integrated I had read these usually come with. Good job on the bonuses newegg!

Disappointed

ASUS DirectCU II Radeon HD 7790 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card HD7790-DC2OC-2GD5

Pros: when it worked it ran all my games on ultra setting with ease and after I updated to the latest drivers, it never got much above 55 degrees while running sniper elite v2 on max settings. Has decently quiet fans as well.

Cons: Like half the other people with amd gpus it kept crashing my computer. I'd get maybe 10 minutes of play time in a game and it'd shut my computer off abruptly with no warning or message. My temps were all great and my voltages coming from the psu were all great as well. Called Asus support multiple times and everytime they tried to blame it on my psu, my motherboard (which is a newer Asus!), and they even tried to tell me i needed wipe my hard drive clean and reinstall windows. Very dissatisfied with amds gpus and all their crashing issues. Ended up rmaing this and getting an nvidia.

Absolutely Stellar Case

Pros: The cooling ability and options, and the room to expand in this case are amazing. They give you plenty of ports to run external cooling lines/wires if need be, TONS of fan and/or radiator mounting spots scattered all over the case, and some dust screens that actually work.

Cons: None

Overall Review: This case is hands down the best case I've ever run. I have a 360mm AIO cooler mounted to the top pulling air out, 1 140mm fan up top on the rear pushing out, the 2 fans it comes with in the front pulling in, and 2 fans on the bottom pulling in, one pushing air sideways to feed my psu with a steady supply of fresh air, and the other pointed up across my SSD trays and feeding the rest of the system. Highest case temp I've seen has been a whopping 3 degrees over ambient. I have the Sapphire RX 5700 XT mounted vertically with the supplied bracket (riser cable is separate but cheap) which is a MASSIVE card and it fits with no worries at all, and stays very cool in this case. There is ample room under the motherboard for cable management as well as tons of ports scattered around the perimeter of the motherboard for cables to run through to various areas that line up perfect with the various slots on my ASUS ROG Crosshair Hero VII. Also keeping the PSU mounted in what is essentially its own enclosure down bottom helps keep case temps down but more importantly keeps my PSU running nice and cool. I've been using this case for about a year now and its been nothing but great. Very highly recommended. Literally the only downside would be for people who are shy on space for their tower to sit as this thing is freaking MASSIVE. If space is of no concern to you as it is for me then buy this case immediately. You won't regret it.

Great card, but terrible overclock software.

SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX 5700 XT 8GB GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 x16 ATX Video Card 100416NT+8GSR

Pros: Fast, Quiet, Cool, Great Performer

Cons: Sapphire has effectively gutted the TRIXX program from its once greatness down to nothing more than a worthless monitoring program with RGB controls. You must install the lastest version for it to work with the RX 5700 series, and that latest version has no fan, or overclock controls, or any control for that matter at all aside from RGB. I was very disappointed in this, and the response from Sapphire was that they may be bringing features back in the future. On the plus side MSI's Afterburner program works perfect with it, and works great so problem solved.

Overall Review: Card performs great with a few minor glitches that need to be worked out in the drivers. One being that having hardware acceleration on it Discord can cause it to black screen the display when loading games for extended periods. I have no need to have hardware acceleration on in Discord so I just disabled it. The high temps and such that you see some complaining about only exist if you leave the stock fan settings, and stay on the old drivers. After the most recent update, and my fan curves in place I see no more than 45 C in most of my games with Satisfactory (very graphics intensive on all ultra settings) managing to push it to about 62 C on occasion which is still very healthy. I got Borderlands 3 free with it which is plays on max settings amazingly on my 1080p display. There is no reason to spend triple the price on the other teams card to just match the performance of this. AMD for life.

Powerful, quiet, and cool.

Sapphire Radeon NITRO+ RX 590 8GB GDDR5 PCI-E Dual HDMI / DVI-D / Dual DP OC w/ Backplate SPECIAL EDITION (UEFI), 100415NT+8GSEL
Sapphire Radeon NITRO+ RX 590 8GB GDDR5 PCI-E Dual HDMI / DVI-D / Dual DP OC w/ Backplate SPECIAL EDITION (UEFI), 100415NT+8GSEL

Pros: Very well built cooler keeps temps down even under heavy load. Factory settings will leave the fans off until 50 degree, but the sapphire trixx program makes it easy to set your own fan scale. with the fans around 25% it will maintain just above room temp at idle. Under load it sits around 55% and 45-50 degrees. Has handled everything I've thrown at it so far on max graphic settings with no issues. I haven't overclocked yet but I know I can pull even more out of this thing easy. Power is stated as being 225w but so far I haven't seen it use over 145w under real life gaming conditions. Newegg had a fair price at $280 with 3 free games as well. Thanks Newegg!

Cons: None.

Overall Review: As with most modern GPUs it is a VERY large card. Make sure you have room on your motherboard and in your case. It is considered a 2.2 slot and it very long as well.

Works great, and is dead silent

Corsair Hydro Series H100i GTX Extreme Performance Water / Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm (CW-9060021-WW)
Corsair Hydro Series H100i GTX Extreme Performance Water / Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm (CW-9060021-WW)

Pros: I installed this a few years back now after getting so sick of the CPU's stock cooler fan raging away at 70+ db all the time and my processor still seeing temps up over 50c when under a little load. This installed easily albeit some difficulties with my case being less than accommodating. I immediately saw my idle temps around 30c just above room temp and even under extreme load it's peaked at less than 40c all while being incredibly quiet. It's still going strong now even a few years later.

Cons: When I first got this I believe it was a new product and the drivers for it were still basically non existent so controlling it properly initially was a bit of a struggle but Corsair came out with the proper drivers and programming I needed pretty quick so no real complaints.
