Awesome PSU

Antec CP-1000 1000W Continuous ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V v2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply Exclusively for - Twelve Hundred(1200)/P183/P193/DF-85
Antec CP-1000 1000W Continuous ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V v2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply Exclusively for - Twelve Hundred(1200)/P183/P193/DF-85

Pros: Very nice power supply when paired with the Antec 1200. I also happened to get it in a wicked combo deal with the 1200, it cost less than the other one I was going to get and it has more power! Runs my insane amount of fans + lights without a hitch.

Cons: Its big, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE PROPER CASE!

Overall Review: There is a little platform in the 1200 that is right in the way of the power supply. I went to put the psu in and took a big gouge out of the paint, so make sure to watch out for that because it is big.

WD Black 2TB

WD Black 2TB Performance Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD2003FZEX

Pros: - Inexpensive. - 5 year warranty. - Rather fast once accessed. - WD reliability and stability.

Cons: - Rather loud when it kicks in (see Other Thoughts.)

Overall Review: - I use mine strictly to store data, record video to, and play media. I run my OS, programs, and games off SSD drives so the drive isn't being accessed during regular use. When accessing folders and browsing the drive it is quite loud and takes a moment to spin up. - Recording video and watching media does not seem to cause as excessive of a noise as initially browsing the drive, so maybe use as a daily driver wouldn't be overly noisy. Once accessed the drive is quite fast and have no stutters or other issues when recording video to it.

Upgraded from Antec 1200

Corsair Graphite Series 760T Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Windowed Gaming Case with two 140mm red LED fans
Corsair Graphite Series 760T Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Windowed Gaming Case with two 140mm red LED fans

Pros: -Absolutely gorgeous, super stylish, clean, and classy without looking "gamer-y". -Cavernous interior, especially when you remove the drive cages. -Tooless SSD and 5.25" bays. -Pre-installed motherboard standoffs are always great. -Easily removable side panels that also swing open. Both feature very heavy duty but easy to open latches. The windowed panel is huge to show off all your shiny parts. -There is a large amount of room behind the -Excellent build quality. -Easy to remove dust covers for the PSU and front intakes. -Massive top radiator or fan mounts. -Quiet 140mm case fans with an included 2 speed fan controller. -All the wonderful cable management you would expect from Corsair.

Cons: -I've heard a few people had issues with the front dust filter's snap in connectors being busted, but Corsair appears to offer replacements (whether paid or free is unknown to me). -I used an all in one cooler (the Corsair H105) and the screws that came with it would not fit through the rubber grommets on the top without some force and squishing, could be solved with some longer screws from your local hardware store. -If you want to build a custom watercooling loop, you won't be able to mount the reservoirs on the MB tray due to the tooless SSD cutout. You should be buying the D series anyway.

Overall Review: I grabbed a flexible magnetic filter for the top rad just to prevent dust from falling in and give it a cleaner look.

Works As Intended

KINGWIN HDM-229 Metal Mounting Kit
KINGWIN HDM-229 Metal Mounting Kit

Pros: -Good quality stamped metal. -Fit well into my Corsair 760t, though the tooless mechanism wouldn't work and I was able to just screw it into place. -Easy to figure out installation (the shorter side goes against the drive). -Lots of flexibility in the form of multiple and elongated mounting holes.

Cons: -No instructions, but this picture from the Kingwin website will help anyone that is confused. (http://www.kingwin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/HDM-229-C1.jpg) -Unlikely to be compatible with a tooless mounting system.

GSkill For Life

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 24GB (6 x 4GB) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9T2-24GBRL
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 24GB (6 x 4GB) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9T2-24GBRL

Pros: As always a solid set from GSkill so far. I had originally purchased 6 gigs of memory for this PC, but decided it was time to upgrade. I didn't hesitate for a second to grab another GSkill product, because my first kit had plugged in and worked flawlessly for the entirety I had it in my system. I was not disappointed by the new set. Plugged right in, Windows 7 Professional recognized all 24 gigs immediately and booted up perfectly.

Cons: The speed is slightly lower than my old set, but I'm looking more for volume than speed.

Overall Review: GSkill rocks!

Sweet kit!

LOGISYS Computer CLK15BL 15" Blue Deluxe Sound Activated Cold Cathode Light Kit
LOGISYS Computer CLK15BL 15" Blue Deluxe Sound Activated Cold Cathode Light Kit

Pros: -Looks very cool. -Sound activation w/ setting for steady on, sound, or off. -Responsive and accurate sound module. -Sensitivity knob in PCI expansion slot. -Quite long. -Options for dual lights on one module. -Inexpensive.

Cons: -Slightly cheap construction, but hey, its like 7 dollars for some sweet PC bling. -I would rather have double sided adhesive instead of velcro, but it works fine. -When unplugging the tube from the module, one of the little wires came out. Before I freaked out, I lined up the holes and it plugged right back in. Probably a common problem because they are so small when plugged into the sound module.

Overall Review: I've heard of some issues with longevity. I only plan on turning this thing on when I'm blasting some music or showing off my case. Overall a great product. Logysis is a great option for inexpensive, quality case lighting and I will return when I feel my case needs to be seen from mars rather than the moon. :P
