Chipset Information

Pros: Linux Redhat 9 recognized this immediately as a VT6105.
Cons: Did not recognize this as a Realtek 8139(D) as a previous review had indicated although I have a REV2!
Overall Review: I bought this as a Realtek 8139 replacedment, primarily for Linux servers. We had to load using a 3C905 card, doing a remote boot, and then after the os is loaded, we remove this card and put in the 530TX+ card (VT6105) and Kudzu removes old and installs new and migrates settings.
Wrong OS Loaded

Pros: Nice laptop, reasonabally priced. Decent performance. Would give this item a better review if it had the correct os. HP may have put the wrong disk drive in accidentally.
Cons: Lots of junk preloaded. Suppossed to be Windows7 Premium 64-bit. Says so on Sticker, but comes up as Windows 7 32-bit, and labels recovery disk as such. Does not like 64-bit applications.
Overall Review: Checking with Newegg on this issue. They are very helpful and will do what they can.
These laptops are first rate! On latest version of windows 10 pro.

Pros: Ordered for overnight delivery and the vendor got them to me as promised! Nice to know they made an effort to get them to me as I needed to install them fast.
Cons: Nothing to complain about here.
That's why they call it refurb

Pros: The unit came in just like the picture. Small footprint, just what i needed.
Cons: Came right up into Windows XP Pro. let me enter the license code, activated, and then it told me the installation was not complete. I put in the cd for the os that came with it and it wouldn't copy some files the box said that it needed. So I got an rma.
Overall Review: I ordered 2 more hoping for better results. If you just need a windows xp box for a small job, email etc. you cant beat the price.
Decent Board

Pros: It seams to work fine in right configuration. Use it with the AMD AthlonII series 250-265. Runs very well then. Have bought probably 20-30 and they all seem to work fine. Faster than the AMD Athlon64 X2-6000 I was using and less power. It was a 130W processor.
Cons: It really wants 65W processors. No parallel port, but you can buy a header for that. Only 2 SATA ports.
Overall Review: We have had no problems using the AMD AthlonII series with this board. They run fast. Ran into random issues with AMD AThlon64's so don't use them. We run DDR2-800 MEMORY from several vendors without issues. We run these with Windows XP, Windows7 and Linux, all ok.
Decent W7 PC

Pros: Price! Nice compact design, silent, piano black finish. Seems to run ok. Has Trial Versions of Norton Internet Security and Microsoft Office 2010.
Cons: Only has 2GB Ram installed, but for the money, it is a nice offering. Doesn't have a HDMI port, only a VGA.
Overall Review: If you are looking for an inexpensive Windows7 computer, this is pretty good, particularly in the less than $350 range.
Seller is first rate!
I contacted seller about overnight delivery and they worked their tail off to make sure it went out that evening as I needed it the next day!
