meh
Pros: Card ran very nicely for the price when it would run. Ran Bioshock and WoW at pretty decent framerates.
Cons: Black screening issues.
Overall Review: Kept getting black screening in WoW that would range from 1 minute to 30 minutes into playing. It was very annoying because I would have to hard restart the computer everytime. I guess it's only certain cards in particular but I didn't want to RMA it back for another one at the chance of getting one with the same issue, so I put in a few extra dollars and got an EVGA 8800GTS instead. I've been using EVGA video cards for a while and know it's not their fault because the same issues has been happening crossbrand. I would wait a little bit for the issues to get resolved before jumping into the new series cards.
Fast and far range!
Pros: Very nice range on this, I use it as a bridge with unofficial DDWRT installed on it.
Cons: Buffalo's firmware doesn't bridge?
Overall Review: The firmware that came on it did not want to work bridged, I spent forever trying to go back from the unofficial to the official using TFTP through Ubuntu before I figured out that both the newest firmware from DDWRT's site plus Buffalo's firmware did not work as a bridge or a client. It could be a bug on my end but the wireless would not send or receive packets. It does kick out sometimes but I believe that is with the router on the other end which I am replacing within the next few days with another Buffalo one.
Pros: Installation quick and effortless.
Cons: None
Overall Review: The only thing I wish is there were more options to change in the bios, but I guess I just like fiddling around with different settings. Board fit in my microatx case without any issues and has a great overclocking settings where if it wouldn't boot when the computer is unstable, it will roll back all your overclock settings 5 seconds later and boot again. This is great so now I don't have to locate any jumper to reset CMOS.
Pros: Card is very fast. A little bit faster than the 8800GT and only a little bit more for it. Bioshock runs flawlessly on this card, Crysis on high settings 30-40FPS. WoW at 60(raid)-240FPS.
Cons: None
Overall Review: e6750@3.2Ghz ddr2 800 I've been using EVGA for quite a few years now and have not been disappointed with their cards. I used my 7800GT so excessively eventually I had to take the heatsink off and clean the dust so it would stop overheating. This card runs a little warm, right now it's sitting at about 80C on the WoW log in screen. This would be the only thing to watch out for because the fan to the GPU doesn't kick on until the temperature hits higher than that. Most of the time it's at about 30% full fan speed.
Pros: Installed easy, ran fine, no issues.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Great deal for DDR2 800
very nice
Pros: Fan very quiet, I almost thought it wasn't on. Decent cooling, running at about 40C idle.
Cons: None
Overall Review: I had to get this fan for my microatx case because I didn't see anything else in the price range with such a low height. Made it into the case perfectly, my friend got the same fan for his computer after I got mine and we both think it's awesome. The only thing is I wish there was a way to up the fan speed a little more so I could get higher passive cooling.
